Favorite Hamilton county park. The golf course is excellent, beautiful, challenging and usually not too crowded. The trails are some of the best in Hamilton County parks with views you would be surprised existed. Awesome history in this park as well.
Shawnee Lookout is a great park of Hamilton County. The hiking trails are awesome with views of the Ohio River. Great place to walk your dog.
Both my boys and I enjoy the trails here. All 3 offer very nice views of either the Ohio river, great Miami river, or both. Plenty of wild life to see as well.
Had the course to myself. Greens, tees and traps in good shape. Great opportunity to work on unique shots.
This is a great park with lots of natural history to explore. The visible earth works here are phenomenal. You feel like you have stepped back into the forgotten past. This place is truly a gem.
Three nice and easy trails to walk. Pretty much anyone who is semi hhealthy can hike these trails. What sets this place apart is the fall Paw Paw harvest. Huge groves of this wonderful and unique fruit from mid September to the first week in October.
The trails were clearly marked and maintained and it's really nice and quiet over there. The views weren't quite what I was expecting and most disappointingly, the historic cabin and school house were locked shut so you could only see the outside.
We didn't have much time so we hoofed it up the trail to get to the outlook. What a view. Wish we'd had more time to explore the ancient fort. We appreciated the historical markers along the trail.
Great place for short easy hikes relatively close to Cincinnati. Brought the dog and had him off the leash a lot of the time. Easy hikes with mixed terrain.
Cool course! Kind of tough to use a driver on with a lot of hills and doglegs left and right. Only played nine but the front nine was a fun layout with soothing views. Far but I got a good price and would play it again if I can get another golfnow deal.
Great park that's not too busy. Nice short trails and decent variety of native plants.
Awesome park with lots of history and right on the Ohio river.
With several good short hikes, some cool views, and a little bit of history, this is a quaint county park. It also has bathrooms, drinking fountains, picnic areas, and playgrounds too.
The most beautiful county park in Cincinnati Was just driving around looking for a new place to go walking and stumbled across Shawnee Lookout. We will definitely be going back.
Shawnee Lookout is named because there is an historical dirt fort on top of the hill that sheltered the native Americans. They had keen access to the Ohio River and was able to forewarn their tribe when danger was approaching. Spectacular view. Also, along the trail, you can view oxbow's, half-moon shaped lakes cut off from the Great Miami River over geologic time. Beautiful water birds reside in the oxbow's in season. One of Hamilton County's greatest park.
