My first visit to NYC and I knew I had to visit this location after seeing it in one of my fave movies, Something Borrowed. I was not disappointed in the slightest. The service was over the top friendly and the delicious burgers are unbeatable. I’m here for a couple more days and I feel like I will be visiting this place again.

My favourite Shake Shack. I’ve tried a few of them NY and one in LAX and also one in Istanbul but nothing beats this location just purely based on atmosphere.

Smack dab in the middle of a park, this spot always bookends my trips to New York.

There’s always plenty of seating, they’re efficient and well trained to get you your food ASAP, and you get to people watch as you enjoy your burger.

I always saw a crazy line during lunch time when I used to when across the street. So I would usually go before lunch rush or on those rainy days when there's not much of a crowd. You don't want to be caught in the line so go before lunch. I had to wait with my friend visiting from out-of-town for 1.5 hours. I would not wait that long for this burger but she wouldn't budge.

Overall they have solid burgers. You can taste the grill flavor and they are nicely seasoned. Be sure to try the shakes and the custards which change daily.

They now have a new burger: the Chick'n Shake! It is a must try. The chicken is battered and fried perfectly golden and crispy. The chicken was so tender and still so hot and crispy. The batter is not too thick which is a big plus and it has great flavor. The only thing I don't like are the pickles but that's a personal preference. I think the chicken burger can give the beef burger a run of its money!

Had a light dinner here. Sitting outside under the lights on a warm autumn evening was fantastic. The queue was long but once we ordered the food came out pretty quickly. The burgers are a bit small but the chips were hot and crunchy.

Great burgers and shakes. Service could've been a tad quicker given there were hardly any customers. Setting is pretty and the staff were lovely and friendly. The only real problem I had was the ubiquitous amount of rats close to the tables and chairs.

The best fast food joint chain around I feel. It's quick and honest tasting. Just be quick when ordering and collect your order. Seating has great view in the day and nice Ambiance in the night.
There's a center Bush where you get small mammals running around (it's nyc take a guess what they are) in the night which you or your company may not fancy, in the day there are squirrels Instead.

Drink are refillable and the place always has a line but not along wait. Love the burgers, any beef burger with cheese bacon fries! Enjoy!

More than a fast food. Burgers are very good, tasteful and fresh fries typical. In the home of fast food, this cannot be ignored. There are many in NY, the one in Madison square park is very nice because is inside the park and the atmosphere in the evening is really cool.

The staff is helpful and friendly. I ordered hot chickn and regular fries and small custard came to $15!!!! But the food was tasty and fresh. I love the location here too there are outside tables to sit and then the park is right there to sit in the shade if you want. Great great spot. This location also have the shortest wait time out of all of them in nyc

One of the decent burger joints I've tried in a very long time. I ordered crispy chicken burger with fries, and my friend, a double cheeseburger with bacon. We also ordered a custard-type cream dessert with chocolate bits and then a vanilla shake. Both were pretty good, however I obviously enjoyed the custard cream flurry with chocolate bits. The fries were also cooked to perfection - especially for crinkle-cut, which I normally don't like due to texture. Even though it was packed, I was able to find a table for 2 quickly, which made it more enjoyable to eat knowing we didn't wait long. The only thing is, when I went here I found they only had 2 bathrooms? Not sure if there were more and I missed it, but thought they were both only single-person use!

Best shake shack in NYC. Outdoor seating only so it gets cold during the winter time. Burgers are the best. They don't know how to make the drinks.

Food is okay 2 burgers 2 drinks a dry and a shake for 30 bucks? A bit ridiculous considering in-n-out you can get the same thing but better for half the price. Except larger drinks larger milk shake and a better made burger not smashed .

The wait here isn't that much worse than other locations, though it can get quite bad during peak tourist season in the summer. That said, it's crowded for good reason: all the seating here is outdoors. The paradox is that it's hard to get a seat, but just go sit on the grass inside the park for a nice, sunny day.

Ordered delivery through postmate. The burger was still hot when delivered and fries was not soggy. It still taste the same as eating in the site itself. I got the shack stack and were very please with the food! Super tasty as usual.

Lines appear to be long but the wait isn't bad. They have a good system with friendly employees handing menus to smooth the process so you know what to get once you're close to the ordering window. They are also helpful in answering any questions ahead of time. Food taste great and consistent with all other Shake Shack restaurants I've been to. No restrooms available near by, so be mindful when consuming liquids. Ambiance is in the heart of the park itself with beautiful views of landmark buildings peaking above the trees as reminders of how beautiful this city is intertwined with nature while eating.
