Oh my goodness do not stay here! I came to visit a friend from out of town and some of the reviews seemed ok so I decided to give it a try.
I did not get any sleep because I felt so unsafe. :( People kept knocking on my door in the middle of the night.
The bathroom was dirty but that is not a big deal since I travel with Lysol wipes. I just wiped everything down before I used it since there was hair in the bathtub. Just wish I would have brought my own sheets.
And I kid you not as I was leaving there was someone doing a drug deal right in the stairwell! Never again!response / report this review -

I stayed here a couple of months ago and recently stayed again and found that the rooms have been updated and the customer service was very good. There are new owners and maintenance man they have made very nice changes. Very clean and peaceful.

So here's the deal. This is and will always be "The Serena Inn". If you are new to the area and don't know what that means, do a little bit of research. It won't take you long to find several articles in the local newspaper and police reports filled with illegal activity and multiple drug overdoses (including fatalities).
This is NOT a place to bring your kids or your families. It is not safe by no means not just due to the activity at the hotel but also by health code standards. If you are unfortunate enough to stay here because you honestly can't afford anywhere else by no means do not get sucked in and talked into working for these people because it will put a roof over your head! It is a trap.
I am currently working with the labor board and the EEOC for some things I recorded, noticed and had personally happen to me while I was working here. I was new to the area and didn't know any better. I wish someone would have warned me.response / report this review -

Serena inn is a very unsafe place. There's black mold, bed bugs, roaches, manager jigar "jay" amin. Refuses to comply to health department standards. As an employee, he has forced me to bring these issues to light at the best interest of the public. I have no choice but to contact the health department. On or around the middle of July, we had a boiler inspection. We were found in fault due to a safety violation. I was forced against my own better judgement by jigar to make a bogus fix and then report to the boiler inspection that it really was fixed, when in fact it wasn't. Mr john kerklin of the state labor department, I strongly suggest that you come reinspect not only the boiler, but everything else also. Guests safety and overall welfare is in serious jeopardy during any and all stays on the property of the Serena inn at 708 corporate Dr Goldsboro nc 27534.

Because I worked here, no reputable hotel will hire me. The maintenance man is a pill junkie. The "assistant manager" has no customer service skills, double and triple charges credit cards to that she can steal money to use on her drug habit. The general manager tried to beg me and pay me to take this review down because it's "bad for business". Then he changed the name from Serena inn to knights inn trying to keep the place afloat. I loved this place!! My room was clean and I still got housekeeping whenever I asked for it. At night, it was not noisy like other motels I've been to in the area. I didn't see any bugs either! The outdoor pool is really nice and I loved the game room as well.

Needs to be no stars. My boyfriend is a semi driver went in to see if they had semi parking. Was told to park in back but as driving by seeing doors busted and bullet holes in windows said forget it. They had a pole that employee had to move so we could get out and had problems getting the semi out. Worker was fighting with my boyfriend and told us we were trespassing now since we weren't staying and threatened us with a gun if he didn't get his semi out of there. Pictures don't even match this place. Ghetto

This was a great place to stay. It was clean and not noisy. The staff was super friendly and easy to deal with. I definitely enjoyed my stay here!

They are in the middle of renovating and it is coming along great. The staff is wonderful and will go out of their way to accommodate you. This place has really turned around. The owner actually cares and will go out of his way for each and every guest. Great for the price. I would recommend giving it a chance. I did and have been very pleased.

I stayed at this hotel after leaving the awful nasty nearby hotel. This hotel offered us very reasonable price. My room was clean and smelled nice, the linen felt fresh. I believe the owners just renovated this place and came out nice. I didn't get coffee make or hair dryer but that justify the price. I loved the chair and table in the room, that have me an extra to do my office work.

we were in town for a football match and heard this hotel offer a good discounts. I wasn't disappointed with my stay even though it needed some improvements but well worth my money. The bathroom was clean and smelled good.

We used to stay here when ever going back to GA, we were passing by this property and saw a new paint and new name. I stopped to check the rooms and it was really nice compare to before. We paid for two nights, upon checkin the refrigerator did not worked. We called the front desk and management replaced the refrigerator for me within minutes and next morning the manager personally apologized to me. I must say the have turned this hotel around.

My company is very big in India. It was just great. The Rooms were clean. The Jaccuzzi was so good and hot. It was like heaven. Must Try.
