Great 24 suite condo type facility. Spacious with all amenities for easy beach front access. See pic of ocean from balcony of Room 306. Very relaxing. Ask for it.

I have cut through the inn's parking lot to get to the, slightly closer, public beach access for as long as I can remember. They have never seemed to mind. I appreciate that.

It is hard for me to give a five star review of a hotel/condo but this place was really close. Two major shortcomings in room 206. First the beds, although each is queen sized the comfort level was nill. The second being the lack of an oven. Bummer. The almost full kitchen made it nice to stay in for meals, as the islands fare is grossly over priced.
Beyond those two issues my family really enjoyed our time here. Super close to the beach, great little pool with solid afternoon shade.response / report this review -

The room is absolutely GORGEOUS. Extremely spacious, top notch amenities, comfortable, welcoming, and very clean. Beach access is literally right across the street, like 35 ft away. The hotel pool is not visible from the road or beach (in center of hotel grounds) so it's private, but has ample sun for tanning, and great chairs/sitting area. For how nice everything is, you cannot beat their rates. The Sea Gate Inn is absolutely the best bang for your buck if you plan on visiting St. Simon's Island. It's just my husband and I on this trip, but we want to come back and bring the kids (under 10 y.o.), because this place would be perfect--calm, quiet, but very family-friendly. 10/10 highly reccomend this hotel.

Location is great, and parking is very convenient. The rooms are well furnished and have all amenities. Bathroom was spacious and the beds were very comfy, but a little firm. Pool was well maintained. Overall, very satisfied with our experience here.

It is conveniently located within a mile of the village. The rooms are very spacious and there is public beach access just across the street. It is also a very clean building.

GREAT location and facility! We had a lovely view of the ocean - located just blocks from the legendary King & Prince (where we have stayed many times). What a find ! We will DEFINITELY be back!

What a nice discovery. My wife and I stayed for three nights after Thanksgiving and loved it. A feel of luxury for sure. Spacious suites and a balcony with a view of the ocean.
