Seating was quick, despite a crowd. Prices fair and food well prepared and plated. Only criticism: eggs Benedict were warm, at best, and cooling rapidly. Otherwise, a fine experience.

First the good. This place has great food, and the staff was friendly. I got the eggs benedict and they were on point.
Second, the bad. This will seem a little petty, but it made me upset, so take it for what it's worth. I had originally ordered the crab cake benedict, but they brought me the regular. As we were hungry, and I like regular anyhow, I just mentioned it (as to not get charged the extra $3) and said I was fine with it. She apologized and offered a crab cake on the side, and since that was what I had initially wanted, I said sure. The bad part is that they ended up charging me for the crab cake which was $4. So I could have made them redo 2 crab benedict, wasted the original and been charged less. Again, we are talking one dollar difference, not a big deal. To me it was the lack of thought process in trying to make the customer feel good about their experience, and that $1 more and one less crab cake had me feeling like I gotten short end of the stick.
I actually wanted to leave a lower star review, but in all reality, this place was really good.response / report this review -

Weekend brunch is fabulous. Expect to have a short wait on weekends. Service is good and personnel pleasant but space is limited. Most visitors are repeats or guests of locals or have received a recommendation. Restaurant is off the main road so parking is not a problem. Restaurant serves breakfast and lunch only. Prices are reasonable but not fast food. If U come once, you'll probably come back.

Mark Packard opened this restaurant 30 years ago and like a fine wine it's getting better with age Best breakfast and brunch on the islandIn the winter they have oyster stew made to order!!

Have been going here since I was a little kid. The train that circles the restaurant is always a hit with kids. Best French toast I've ever had! Even their bacon is good
