Had such a fabulous time. The crew was awesome. Very informative and friendly. They made my husband I feel very welcome. Sooooo welcome I just booked our second sunset cruise of the week.

My son and I enjoyed the Appledore Tall ocean world traveler sail ship in key West with Captain Chris. The wind kicked in around the point and the sail was oh so cool. This is a true sail ship that travels to Maine each year and back to Key West around Thanksgiving. The crew sails the ship to Maine each Year. See videos on my Facebook under this name Also other sailboats and this boat do some fun sailing battle maneuvers with cannons firing

Great time on the afternoon Go Fish Family sail. We took kids from 6 to 13 and they enjoyed it. You get to walk around and inside the boat. The kids helped out getting the sails up. Not bouncy. We loved it. There are no regular seats like in a car, this is a sail boat.

The sail and the crew were great. Our comfort was not. Our group of 4 are in our 70's and one 81. The seating was on the trunk cabin, about 12 to 15" off the floor. After 2 hours sitting on the hard fiberglass surface, we could barely move. Our backs and legs really hurt. The set of portable stairs to board the vessel has no handrails-very bad for seniors. I think with some improvements, the retired population of SW Florida would love to patronize the Appledore. First, I would suggest a THICK bench type cushion for the seating area. Next, a handrail for the steps and placement so that you come out on a platform and the steps go off to the left. We all were very happy to see that no one took one more step or they would have ended up on the bay. You MUST step off to the left or you would go swimming. Also, it would be nice to have a few benches for those waiting to board. You ask that people be there 15 minutes early, but they wait on the dock until the appointed departure time. With these few relatively inexpensive additions, I am sure we would be repeat customers.JoeB
