My wife and I have been visiting the Keys for years. This is one of the best values on the island. The staff is friendly and professional. The Waco is smooth, quiet and stable. We only did the twenty minute trip but will opt for the longer flight next time. Make sure you buy the DVD too.
Amazing ride, the people were very friendly, work great for person in a wheelchair as well. 100% recommended
My wife and I went on the Biplane ride with Fred back in July of 1993. The ride was a first for my wife in an open Biplane, she fell in love with it, the great memories and awesome photographs.
I came back the next day went with Fred for a ride in his Pitts biplane. Fred took me out over the ocean climbed to a safe altitude and rolled the plane inverted and shook it a bit to be sure I belted in rightI was. Then the fun REALLY started, Fred took me straight up into a hammerhead stall, wow can this man FLY!!. He then took me through as many maneuvers as we had fuel to do. It was my first time doing aerobatics, and I was not scared at all. I have never met a safer, better trained Pilot in the world than Fred. I came back the next day and we went out for a second ride. This time I brought my camcorder (a little tiny one) and I strapped it on so I wouldn't loose it.
I then got the ride of my life. We pulled over 6g's both positive and negative. There is NO roller coaster in the world that can even come close to ride like these.
I never felt safer than with Fred flying and at no time was I or anybody in any kind of danger.
Today, I am a pilot with a few hundred hours in my old 1958 Cessna 172.
This is a opportunity for anybody who likes flying to make memories that you will never ever forget. If you are "new" to flying this pilot "Fred" can make even the queasiest person happy and feel safe in the air!
All Hail the "General" of the "Conch Republic Air Force"!
P.S.I will be coming back soon Fred!!!
I can't wait to go out in the J-3 and the Pitts and the Waco again and again!
