First off,they have the best rice EVER.very delicious.steaks are good.prices are not bad at all.we live in Cornersville so Sarge's is not far.friendly staff

We actually were served by this waitress that paid for the family of 6. We also know that she gave when she did not make much. So we gave her all our cash on hand in hopes that we too can experience the same unselfish giving she did. It was what Jesus would have done.

The food was outstanding. The price..was priceless

AMAZING! I evacuated from Florida from hurricane Irma and stayed at the Motel 6 across the street from this fabulas little joint.
I have a family of 6 and with all the traveling and fast food and junk food eating, we were in the mood for some real food!!
Especially some BBQ right from TN! I walked across the street with my son and asked for a menu to place our order. I kept asking questions to the hostess about their food, what would be my best bet with feeding a handful. She was very pleasant, very helpful and very patient with what my concerns were. She steered me in the right direction and I placed the order and waited 20mins until pick up time. When I arrived back I went to the pick up window with my credit card in hand waiting to pay and then cashier said "No" and pointed to the hostess, saying it was on her!!
I was speechless, I was shocked and I didnt know what to say!!! I gave her a BIG hug and a huge THANK YOU!!!
Not only was the customer service was above and beyond, the food was just as amazing too!!
Fall off the bone ribs, the best chicken fingers we ever had and the salad dressing and the mac and cheese wonderful too!!
Thanks so much for such a memorable experience, we will make another stop there when we go back to TN for sure!!

The food was great, I had a steak sandwich and my steak was exactly medium, tender, and tasty! My niece had the chicken and my dad the club. The French fries were excellent and their ranch dressing was homemade and delicious! Our waitress was attentive and helpful. Our overall opinion is high and our recommendation, resounding!! Try Sarge's Shack, you'll love it!

OMG,.. this was the best place we have tried in a while! Their fried green tomatoes were the bomb, along with the dipping sauce,.. we ordered the catfish and the steak sandwich, both cooked to perfection! Our service was great, the place does have an older feel to it,.. but it's how they have made it,.. that old country feeling. 5 ☆☆☆☆☆'s ;) driving back to Nashville fully satisfied.

The food was great! Service was poor! Table wasn't bussed. My wife was still eating when we were approached as to whether we wanted desert. When told she was still eating the bill was delivered. Enjoyable food, but god awful service!

The stake flavor was really great. Logan's or Texas Road House has nothing on these guys. The staff was really great.

I was 1 of 4 people in the restaurant when I arrived at 12pm on a Saturday. I ordered a ribeye steak with a side salad & the "signature" rice. The salad was mediocre with decent ranch dressing- but took 20 minutes to arrive. My main course took 35 minutes to arrive. I ordered my steak medium well and it was served extra well done, with no flavor. It was basically leather. The "signature" rice was nothing other than white rice, soy sauce, too much unsalted butter & little bits of chives.

A couple seated near me arrived 30 minutes into my visit. They mentioned to their server (someone different from my own) that they were in a rush and wished to order their food when ordering their drinks. Everything arrived to their table within 5 minutes of them sitting down.

I did let my server know that I was not happy with my steak. He offered to have them make me a new one but I declined since I was starving (having waited so long) plus my time was limited. He ended up discounting my bill to make up for it - which is the only reason this review isn't a one-star review.

This place seemed really promising with decent reviews online as well as personal recommendations, but it did not live up to the hype. I guess it's better than nothing in an area with nothing else to choose from.
