it was very nice and organized. shout out to the employee who told me "you're not allowed to bring water in the theatre area, so make sure to hide it under your jacket. I didnt see anything." also if you go down the street theres a BEAUTIFUL art exhibit that you can visit while youre waiting for the show to start. they were giving out free meringues whIP
I have been to a few operas since the remodel. It is a great opera house, beautiful room, comfortable seats. It is a smaller stage but it is visible from every seat in the room. Overall a great experience.
My first time there. Was opening night. The production was great. Thought people would have dressed better, I've seen better at baseball games
Historic building downtown. Well-run, worth checking out.
Great to have a place to go with some old world charm and modern conveniences! Spent a lovely afternoon tasting local restaurants and some fine wines in this 90 year old theater renovated in 08. Looking forward to some great shows and fun events!
It doesn't get much better then to be in small City and have an opera company as good as the best. The first thing I did on coming here was volunteer to be a usher.
I'm always been exhilarated by the quality of the singers the production the choice of shows are so good I can even stay awake for 4 hours..
The audience knows their Opera and they are the best judges. This is not a tourist attraction, although out of towners who have never been to an opera are going to be excited. This Opera is for the serious Opera lover. Don't believe me, Splurge the money and remember it for the rest of your life.
For those of you who wince at the divide brought about by price, there are tickets at the top for $19. It sounds just as good up there.
Very nice venue. I attended someone's graduation here, so I don't know much about it, but the lobby & interior are beautiful, and I appreciate the fact that it's so easy to find because it's right on the corner.
Great place to see an opera or watch a film.Very comfortable leg room& good size chairs.Easy to park near by & free. The interior lobby is bright & welcoming. The theatre is a good size & well appointed.
Beautiful and historic opera house built in 1926 and serving as home to Sarasota's very fine opera company.
Always fun to come back here, regardless of the showing. Seats are comfortable, decor appealing. Nice staff. Kind of chilly inside at times. Parking available nearby. Trouble finding a seat? The staff have always been there to help me.
A beautiful experience all the way around. Incredible building, great performances, helpful staff. Would definitely go again and will recommend the experience to friends in a heartbeat. FIVE STARS.
