  Nice pizza's with great test and thin crust base.
  This is one of the best pizza's place in Carlsbad.

  Sammy's is a GREAT place for brick oven pizza .a seriously warm and friendly atmosphere. Moderately priced. And a relatively health conscious menu that pays close attention to the discerning palettes.
  
  This is no common Pizza Hut or Little Caesars.
  Not that there is aaanything wrong with that, if that is what you're in the mood for.
  
  I'm saying, if you want something "more".then here is a fresh choice for you!
  
  Unique, not pretensious. Absolutely never understated.
  
  Sammy's..a little touch of another world.

  We were surprised at how limited the menu was. Wagyu cheeseburger with fries was very good. Kind of pricey though ($14+). My wife had the Chinese chicken salad. She found it too spicy, and the chicken wasn't very good. We thought it might have been processed chicken. It was the "individual" size, and the portion was very generous. Service was good. Place was fairly empty for a Friday night. Makes us wonder about their future. All that construction can't be helping. It will be interesting to see how this area does when the street work is done and the new Draft Republic opens. It could be quite a line up of dining options - Miguels, McDonalds, In N Out, Draft Republic, and Sammy's. But Sammy's needs to improve their menu. And a modest remodel might be in order.

  My husband and I went to Sammy's last night and it was awesome!!!! Our server was Amanda and she was amazing. She was very attentive and helpful when we couldn't decide what we wanted to eat. She suggested the Duck Taco's for our appetizer. She said it was one of her favorites. They were great. We then shared a Greek Chicken Salad. Topped it with a pizza. Delicious meal. Thanks Amanda and Sammy. A lot of leftovers to take home. We will plan another trip to Carlsbad very soon which will definately include a dinner (or two) at Sammy's!!!

  Phenomenal restaurant. Driving through to La Jolla noticed Woodfired Pizza had to come try it it was amazing the food was phenomenal.
  You got to try the pizza mini sliders truffle fries salad juicy lemons and amazing donuts

  The pizza was done well. Prices were fair. The wait staff was friendly.
  But surprisingly, for a place with Pizza in the name, they did not have that many options for pizza. It was only about 1/3 of the menu.
  They do have a rather large bar. As well as a nice fireplace outside that you can have your meal by.

  Good service, but smaller portions and it took a long time for our order to be served, even though it was not crowded. A lot of people were doing take out though.

  Great food most nights, but consistency is a problem. . Some days huge fresh salads, others small with cold chicken. Seems they run out of Bread quite often. Servers seem poorly trained. Could be fantastic, but is run poor. . Pizzas are good when bottom isn't burned. .
