I work out of Hartford CT as a traveling Lunch & Learn Trainer for Pre-Fabricated Fire Proof Columns and I ALWAYS use Pauli's for our catering / Lunch & Learn needs when I'm in the Boston area. They have always been on time and it's the best food I have found in the city that delivers. We order from them around 4 times a month and have never had a complaint, only raving reviews from our attendees.
22 USD FOR LOBSTER ROLL IN A CHILD SIZE HOT DOG BUN.
If you are okay paying that kind of money, please go ahead. I felt ripped off. There is no way, they spruce up their price like this. And its not my first time trying Lobster roll. And you should try other places too. You will see the portion difference. I have been to most places that serves Lobster Roll in Boston and Cambridge and many other places in MA. But this was a bit unbelievable. Billing, waiting, rest all are okay. Tastes good too but it is not worth the money. Sorry guys. You can do better than this with your price.
I stopped by Pauli's for a lobster roll. The flavor was great, and the lobster was tender, but the size was incredibly small compared to other New England/ East Coast locations I've been. Maybe it's a Boston thing, as I was only passing through, but for $20 I expect more than a small hotdog bun with lobster.
This is a tiny and bustling shop with tons of options for lunch! We ended up here after the wait at Neptune Oyster next door was over n hour, and totally lucked out! The lobster rolls were reasonbly priced and delicious. There was long line but service is quick so we quickly got out food and wrestled a spot to sit and eat. Lots of patrons get their food to go.
I ordered 3 items to get a good scope of their fair:
-I've had better lobster rolls for less.
-Clam chowder was average with under cooked potatoes.
-Also ordered a sub which was loaded with a ridiculous amount of cheese (nacho cheese specifically). I literally had to scoop out the cheese by hand because there was too much of it.
Altogether an average food joint. Better fair can be found at Fanieul Hall close by.
I'm astonished how this joint has 4.5 stars. Customer service was average, and kinda apathetic.
Try the hot lobster roll & I was happy with the portion but not so impressed by the taste. I was expecting more I guess after tasting Luke's. I will see if Portland, ME will have better lobster roll.
Pauli's is a great lunch spot because it has plenty of variety. While the inside seating isn't ideal, there is plenty of seating in the park. I enjoy the pesto pasta along with steak strip sandwich. You can make your own sandwiches and the specials are great too.
The classic cold lobster roll with hotdog bun is extremely perfect! The best lobster roll in Boston! I was only in Boston for two days, and I came here for their cold lobster roll during these two days. Love here!!! Gonna miss their cold lobster roll.
great sandwiches, incredible value, fast service. Small place gets a bit crowded but the food makes it worth it.
Ended up here since Neptune was over booked. Had a great selection of food! Enjoyed a lobster roll and some wings. Better yet, there was early a wait!
Great food Loaded lobster roll with big pieces not shredded lobster meat Had to order a second roll after the first one, it's that good. Small place but very friendly staff. Definitely the place to check out in while walking at North End neighborhood.
Their lobster roll = amazing. Order it hot. So good. Super friendly too. If they served beer here it would be even better.
Had the lobster roll (hot) and fries, and both came out to $24. Loved the fries but thought the lobster roll was just ok. It was a bit on the smaller side for the price and there was a little bit too much butter that it drenched the bun and made it soggy. Wide menu with a large variety of sandwiches and sides. It's fine if you want to satisfy a lobster roll craving and want good fries, but wouldn't go out of my way to eat here.
