Absolutely stunning views of what is part of the core of the park. The menu items (berries) we're delicious and the camp ground was really incredible. Also, one of the world's most scenic bathrooms by far
One of the best, if not the best place to go backpacking / hiking in Seattle
Very scenic hike, get a beautiful view of the cascade ranges
Wow! I shouldn't tell you how amazing the views areor how amazing the hike is to get up to the campground.
It's just WOW!
You have to get a permit from the ranger station 24hrs in advance and they are very limited. We got a permit by getting a permit for Johannesburg campground for the night before and set off the next day from there.
This is spectacular. There are only a few sites so you have to get a bit lucky. The walk is fairly difficult, and it can be cold and cloudy. You are truly sleeping on little islands of rock inside the glacier.
Awesome spot
Amazing views all around - maybe you'll even see a far-off avalanche. We went in July and it was VERY windy when we finally got up to the camp. You need a permit if you want to camp here, but it's not hard to get a permit especially if you book in advance or come on a weekday!
