If rustic accommodations with some modern amenities is to your liking, then Running Bear Resort should meet your expectations. They have WI-FI and cable TV; and are ideally located if you're planning to visit centrally located sites in the Upper Peninsula.

Visited Running Bear Resort for our grandson's graduation gift fishing trip. Nothing fancy but delightfully rustic and peaceful. Nicely affordable, providing everything we needed. The owners/managers are super nice and helpful! Provided much helpful info on fishing amenities enen before we arrived. Area is remote but a nice all purpose store is nearby, WiFi is provided, and there are adequate kitchen facilities. This is just a lovely piece of the UP!

Oh my goodness the customer service! Excellent, super friendly service. Extremely comfortable accommodations. The cabin we stayed in literally felt like a tiny home it was that big! The price was extremely cheap considering the service and cabin you get for it.

Stayed a night while traveling for work. The cleanest cabin type deal I have ever stayed in, spotless. Comfortable bed/bedding. Bad wifi and att cell service sucked, but that is nice every now and then. "Paulding Lights" spot 4 miles away, a must see. Great little cabins.

I have been coming here since I was a little kid. And when I say little I mean like 6 or 7 and it's never a disappointment. The owners have changed hands over the years and the current ones are amazing! They are so friendly and make it a point to come down and talk with my parents every time we are there. If you are going to be staying in the area and they have an opening do yourself a favor and stay there!
