The cycling theme is great and the food and beer is so much greater!! Their Belgian brews are incredible. Pair a beer with their pork belly tacos or any of their outstanding burgers, and you’re in heaven. We’ve returned numerous times and it’s been consistently excellent. It can get busy but the good spots are worth it.
I used to like this place, but now the service is so bad. I was there on Saturday night and they didn't have a host, placemats for the kids, takes way too long time to bring the food to my table, the hamburger was cold and at night I woke up sick, so is you have kids don't go there. Anyway, the waitress was friendly and in the end is not her fault, is a management issue.
Great happy hour with half priced beers. The food is pretty good. I don't eat burgers but I've heard that's the best food on the menu.
Very impressed. I've never before seen a burger joint with so many different options. The food and the beer both taste amazing and arrived quickly in spite of the fact that the restaurant was crowded on a weekend evening.
Normally I love this place, but this time was something different. There were 5 of us. We showed up at 6:45 and were seated immediately which was great. Once we sat down we were delivered waters; two of the glasses were dirty with floating particles, we sent them back.
Our waiter was friendly but not attentive and he disappeared several times throughout the night. Once we ordered drinks and food, we finished our water and had to ask the hostess to refill it as our waiter could not be found.
Beer took 10 minutes to come out, a vanilla shake took 30 minutes, and our food came out 45 minutes later. For burgers and fries this is ridiculous. Our orders were wrong, the fries and onion rings were cold by the time we got them, and it took way too long.
The burgers were great though! Cooked perfectly and delicious. But once we finished, we sat with empty plates and glasses for another 20 minutes with no sign of our waiter. When he finally got back, we paid our bill but he mixed up the tickets and credit cards. Charged a few of us incorrectly. Simply paying the bill took him 20 minutes.
I'll be looking for another restaurant next time.
Excellent service. Party of 6. Served quickly. Chicken tenders w ranch. Very good. Burgers are great. Cannot go wrong. Ask for a sample of beer, if you cannot decide.
My wife and I chose to take my father who was visiting here out of all the places on pearl st. Our server got our drinks then came back and asked if we had any questions. We said no because we were ready to order. He turned around and left quickly after we responded. We waved him over 5 min later to order. We wanted to order wings and pretzels as an appetizer. He said he wasn't sure if they had pretzels and didn't offer to check. Then left quickly without us be able to order our main dish.As our drinks were in need of refill and waiting for over 20 min our server didn't come by. We spent 10 more minutes trying to wave him down to ask about our wings and order our food but he never came back. We left and told another server. Very bad service. I don't recommended. Plenty of other places close by where service won't ever be a problem.
Restaurant just down from Pearl St. Mall, good prices, has a bar and booths/tables for just dining. Really friendly waiting staff. Ordered a burger and made a request for no cheese which was forgotten so had to send back. When I got what I had asked for not very flavoursome but have heard the Mac n cheese is great. Some pros and cons but not the worst dining experience
When it comes to quality food in the county of Boulder, a lot of great businesses come to mind, but Ruebens just doesn't pass the test. This may have started out as a great business, but now they are a shadow of their former self. Now, they order the same beef as the Pearl Street Pub, and you can get that burger for half of the price. All the while, you can avoid having your ear talked by their dodgy general manager while he ignores your social cues and you watch your mediocre food get cold. Next time you're there, ask to see their latest scores in cleanliness and cross contamination. This place is a whistle blowers wet dream, to say the least. How do I know all this? I saw it with my own eyes. So go try it for yourself or just take my word that this is the last place that you want to eat in this area (and maybe Boulder county). The beers good, that's why they get at least one star from me.
This place was a pleasant surprise. We had a large group of 10 people who all wanted something a little different. This place had something for everyone. Service was prompt and attentive. Food came out quickly. Almost every plate was empty by the end and everyone was happy.
In the words of a colleague, "The burger tasted grey." Overcooked burger. Out of several options at lunchtime. Slow service.
Where's the beef? I left very hungry :/ the flavors were very average and the portions very small compared to the price I got the grass fed grass finished beef which is nearly $15. Very disappointed. The atmosphere was nice.
Not recommended!
I have been there once, I spent a reasonable amount for a burger ($12) and I left as tip the 10% paying by card. I had a good opinion of this place until I checked my bank transactions and I saw they took 15 dollars (as tip I suppose) rather than 1,20, for a total of $27 for a chicken burger!
It was not possible to misread the receipt, I even went back asking for clarifications. They told me to write to the manager, never got reply and never got my money back.
Wanted to do 1 star but the food was good. First time here, came in because of all the good reviews. TERRIBLE SERVICE. Our server, Hannah, was just so bad. Took our order for appetizers, a Southwest Egg Roll and 2 soups. Didn't come back for about 20 minutes, then arrived with just the Egg Rolls. I watched her the whole time, she did nothing but chit chat with the other servers and hostesses, not once coming to check on us. I decided to tell someone about our terrible service and how we haven't even gotten our soup yet. Manager came by and told us he'd take the soup off our bill and buy us a round of drinks. Got the check and since we didn't order any drinks we asked if a burger could be taken off instead. The manager took off $4. That's NOT a burger or a round of drinks. First and last time in, once again TERRIBLE SERVICE.
We've seen many positive reviews of Rueben's and decided to try it out. We weren't disappointed. The burgers we had were perfectly cooked and very flavorful and portion sizes were about right, maybe even a smidgen large. Hand cut fries are killer. There are more burger options than you can shake a fork at, many taste combinations both original and intriguing, and you're not even limited to just burgers. Final words on the subject: pretzel bun.
