I would like to say Rudy Schmids body shop is one of the better ones around. I have used them several times for repairs from accidents that were not my fault. They were very helpful. I have been there twice this year, and they seemed to fit me in. My brother used to work for Cazenovia college and they would bring all their vehicles in to the shop. The staff is very friendly , I would recommend the place to anybody. five stars ..

My experience with Rudy Schmid Body & Frame Shop has been fantastic! The entire staff is very professional and engaging. Their work is pristine and I would recommend them to anyone. PJ and his wife both are extremely warm and courteous to all the customers I've seen come in while I was waiting. I recently had my 2010 Jeep Liberty repaired after a major car accident. They were the first shop I thought of when I had to choose one through my insurance company. They guarantee their work all the time. I found out about them years ago when I brought my other vehicle in for a wheel alignment and an inspection. They even put my brand new tires on for me that I already had in the car! They are also very honest because I brought another vehicle of mine in for an estimate and they told me it would cost so much, I'd be better off getting rid of it. I appreciated the the truth because they could have easily taken my money. They will always be my first choice! Thanks PJ!

I had a great experience at Rudy Schmid. Took my car in for an oil change and inspection and they were extremely friendly and welcoming, got my car in almost immediately and had it back to me in less than an hour. My only small complaint is that they do not rotate tires with the oil change like other places that I have taken my car. If it weren't for that small detail, they would have 5 stars easy.

Been going to Rudy Schmid for the past year for work on my truck and car and company bus. I had great service. All the people are great to do business with. Any problems I have had with my vehicles they have taking care of 100%. I recommend them to my friends when they have issues with their cars, and they are very happy too.

Brought my new car in to get it protected from CNY weather. Rust Check to keep it protected and costs half of what the dealership tried to offer me at a discount rate with other similar services. Nice customer service and a reputable business. This is my first visit ever. I hope to rely on this shop for future issues that arise with my car as it gets older.

After I was rear-ended recently, the insurance company gave me a list of "preferred" shops for the repairs. I picked Rudy's because of recommendations I received. All aspects of the job were handled professionally. Rudy's took care of all communications with the insurance company after taking on the job, informed me of hidden damage which would extend the time needed for repairs, cleared this with the insurance company, finished by the estimated time, and kept me up to date as things progressed. All accidents involve some hassle, but Rudy's made this one as simple as possible.

This is the first review I have ever written, but I had to do it because Rudy Schmid's has been the best car repair shop that I have taken my car to in Syracuse. I have lived here for almost 40 years. My present car is 11 years old and I love it. I take good care of it and Rudy Schmid's has helped me keep it in great condition. Their reminders of when to bring it in for servicing and their patience in explaining to me the things that have to be done are wonderful. In addition, both my husband and I have had them do a repair that required matching metallic paint. About 8 years ago, I hit a deer and the paint job they did was awesome! My husband's car was metallic silver and the result was also wonderful. They are reliable, honest, and friendly. They know their stuff. You will not be disappointed.

I have owned 17 cars since 1969 and in that time used many car care services. Four years ago I purchased a 2011 Honda Fit and wanted to get it rust proofed. I had heard from several people Rudy Schmid offered a service called Rust Check and that it was a very different and excellent rust proofing application. It is indeed. That experience has led me to use many of their other services including body work, oil changes, brakes and tires. When they take your summer tires off to mount your snow tires they store them for you until your next seasonal changeeach time they are rotated. Appointments are always on time. I have found their pricing to be very competitive and often less than other car care services. The people who work there PJ, Diane, Ron, Missy and Lonnie are professional, courteous and friendly. A great place to have your car serviced. I originally posted the previous review eight months ago. Since then I have had another Rust Check treatment, a tire and oil change, NYS inspection and just two days ago I had an air conditioner cooling recharge and new ventilation system blower motor installed. Lonnie the mechanical advisor once again came through for me with courteous professional advise and service. These folks are just the best.

Thanks to Rudy Schmid for doing such an awesome job restoring my little VW Bug after my recent fender-bender! Everyone was so friendly and helpful (special shout-out to Diane and Missy), they actually called to update me on the car's progress (I've NEVER had that happen before), advocated with insurance on my behalf, AND got the job done ahead of schedule in time for a holiday weekend. I definitely recommend Rudy Schmid Total Car Care.

Very happy with estimate and work with my warranty company. Warranty company hard to get a hold of, but they were able to get approvals in a timely fashion and get my car in while working around my schedule. Warranty is covering both shocks and springs, so fantastic claims work from Lonni!
