Went here on a Sunday and enjoyed the buffet. First time trying Indian cuisine was not disappointed. Very very very polite staff with an upscale atmosphere. Recommend for sure!

I am currently here right now as I write this review! I def do not mind spending my money here. Great place! Classy place, outstanding food, impeccable service! I'm waiting on my bill, and am excited to pay it!! I even ordered dessert, just to show my appreciation of this place. You must come here!!!

Easily one of the top Indian restaurants in the Baltimore area. Perhaps even the best. The ambience is on a completely different level compared to any other Indian restaurant I've been to. The food is always top notch, and the service is unlike anything I've experienced at any restaurant. Not just Indian. Must go!

I have never been let down. We have always been welcomed with warmth and a smile. The owner knows all his customers and is very hands on. His staff has been trained well, are alert and helpful. I have never been disappointed with the food. It's delicious.

One of the best dining experiences I've had. The wait staff was excellent: prompt, courteous, and super friendly; especially the maître d'. The food was fantastic. Great flavor and spice without being overpowering. Reasonably priced, quick to come out, and a good sized portion. I'll definitely be returning. Thanks!

Great price, great service, delicious food. I have a low tolerance for spicy food, but this food was not too spicy! We had a group of 7 that expanded to about 12, and the staff was wonderful and understanding, adding a table and chairs as needed to accommodate us. We opted for the buffet, and there were no problems receiving separate or combined checks (also, they accept Discover 👍).

This is the upscale, fancy American restaurant, of Indian restaurants. This is the place you can take the whitest white people to dine on the best Indian cuisine, and not worry about them burning their mouths, but if you're looking for regional dishes of specific tastes, this might not be your best bet. Still, it's very much worth trying this place, even if only for the decor and friendliness of the staff. They are so accommodating that they once rushed through taking my order, serving me, and letting me pay my bill in under 25 minutes so I could catch a movie in the adjacent mall. I don't advise doing anything crazy like that, but their willingness to do that for me tells the kind of service you get here. For these compliments, you will pay a lightly higher cost.

My wife and i have been going to Royal Taj for about 6 years now. It's amazing to see how much they have grown with the new place. By far the best Indian food in Maryland. By far the best customer service out of any restaurant I have ever been too. The owner treats you like royalty when you walk in and the staff is super friendly. We spend all our birthdays and anniversaries here because they make us feel like celebrities every time we walk in. They have grown so big you have to make reservations on weekends to get in so make sure to call ahead before going. They do not disappoint.

Awesome value for the money, and I don't just use the word awesome here without meaning. It is definitely the best Indian food I have had in a restaurant anywhere in the world for the money and effort. I have had good food at other places but at the expense of time, maybe more money and other inconveniences, but this place satisfies on all fronts, all the time, hands down! Clean and beautiful decor and the super professional and courteous staff only add to the whole value and experience. Kudos!

The best restaurant in Columbia no doubt. From the moment you walk in you will enjoy the ambience. I appreciate that everyone here will treat you like family. The food is rich and full of harmonious spices. The servers are very knowledgeable on the menu. There are also many vegetarians/vegan options, a full bar and delicious deserts. Highly recommend!

Please go there! You will absolutely not regret even a moment. From the moment you walk in you are greeted warmly. The excellent wait staff seat you in one of the oh so comfy chairs in one of three opulent dining rooms. In the spring and fall they open one with the doors to let in the beautiful weather. Or they will turn on the beautiful fireplaces. I have never had a more delicious meal served with care and consideration. Fellas it's an excellent way to impress a date. Just remember to dress the part and make a reservation on the weekend or you might be waiting for a while.
