First time there and the food was excellent, wait staff was very friendly and checked on us frequently. A little pricey but really it was on par with other steak houses of this caliber. If I had to criticize something it would be the popovers, they were way over done, extremely crunch. I had the prime rib and it was done perfectly, I could almost cut it with my fork.

Used to be better and still is very good but for $50 steak, they could've done better. It's generally overpriced for what you get. I've made better steaks at home. My wife's Mac n cheese was way too peppery. I do recommend the porterhouse. It's the most expensive on the menu but the only one worth the money.

I was really impressed with all aspects of the meal. The servers were attentive and knew their stuff. I was happy that they had a few good beers to choose from. I didn't love the popovers, but the appetizers were fantastic. The fried shrimp scampi really stood out as the best. My dry aged cowboy steak was perfectly cooked and delicious. The celebration cake was a great way to finish the meal and share. I hope I have the opportunity to go again.

Great upscale steakhouse. Both Summit and M-Town, solid and reliable on quality. Agree with comment above about muffins though(popovers). Roots definitely likes them a lot more than their guests do! Just serve a basket of good rolls/ bread please! Bit disappointed with last night’s visit on service; bit slow. But overall, I’m a longtime, repeat fan.

Amazing steak! I had the veal and my husband had the dry cowboy. Veal was good but the dry cowboy was full of amazing flavor. Even the bread was noteworthy. Very pricy but good for special occasions. Worth it.

My husband and that i prefer to sit down at the bar right here because the carrier and communication are stellar. We always sense proper at domestic and they take appropriate care folks. The foods and drinks are always top notch. This team makes the enjoy more special.

Best piece of meat I've had in a long, long time The Porterhouse for two with the garlic spinach, mushrooms and potatoes was delicious and cooked to perfection (medium rare) service attentive and friendly Love the views of the kitchen (wish I hadn't seen the tower chocolate cake fall flat on the plate and the waiter, one of the boys, not George, using his fingers to prop it up again, instead of a knife or fork) but it's all good.. My first visit, def will come back.. Bar staff was awesome, also, Ryan was very friendly and prompt..kuddos to all

Always my choice for a special occasion meal with friends. Steaks are always delicious and come out perfectly cooked.

It's a pricy night out but on par with other high end steak houses, absolutely prefer Roots over Ruth's Chris.

I went this past Saturday for dinner to celebrate my birthday & wedding anniversary. There were 4 of us and we each loved our meals, salads, sides, and desserts. I have MANY food allergies and they were above and beyond in accommodating those. I didn't get sick and had a wonderful meal! The service was excellent. Our waiter and waitress team were available if we needed them, but completely unobtrusive. They were professional, helpful, and wonderful. Can't wait to go back for our next special occasion!

Nice steakhouse worth dressing up for. Came here for dinner with coworkers on 4/7/17 and had oysters, asparagus and the 20 oz ribeye rare. Service was attentive and helpful. Environment is loud, so use that as you choose. People are a mix of couples on date nights, women on girl's nights out and business people. You'd probably want to be ready to spend $100/person to comfortably dine for dinner without drinks.

Had dinner at Roots yesterday. Crab soup on a special was delicious. We had porterhouse steak. We had ordered a medium and it was served extra rare . One of the sides was served after we completely finished our meal.
The steak had lots of fat and you could easily say that it was not a good cut. On top of everything else when I got home my stomach had bothered me all throughout the night.
All of that experience only for $300. I don't mind paying for a good meal but that was not one for sure.

Bartenders are good, always prefer to sit at the bar and they make the difference.

Food is usually very good, but was disappointed when my meal came out before I finished my apps.

16 oz Sirloin was as good as it gets. Excellent service. Very well appointed dining room, great bar with " deuces" and a few large horseshow banquettes . High end wine list with excellent by the glass choices.butter cake dessert is to " die for"!

The best meal and restaurant experience I've ever had in my entire life. My boyfriend and I went for my birthday and I swear every staff member said happy birthday to me. The food was impeccable and the staff was absolutely unbelievable. My boyfriend had broken his collar bone and was in a sling and our waiter took his steak back to the kitchen so it could be cut for him. I was completely floored. The portions are insane and you are truly getting your money's worth. I'd eat there every day if I could. But what really topped our experience off was when I received a follow up phone call the next day, wishing me a happy birthday AGAIN and asking how our night went.
Phenomenal.
