I was gifted a ham for Thanksgiving, and my family and I agreed that it was the best ham we had ever had before! Picking up the pre-ordered ham was quick and easy, though parking at the shop is very limited. I highly recommend Rocket City Meats for their friendly service and top quality meats and will plan on getting more from them in the future!

Top quality products. I don't know which rancher they buy from, but that rancher is taking top care of his animals. I have never had such great meat anywhere else. If you are a serious cook and want Dave Ramsey quality ingredients, this is your store. Forget buying meat anywhere else.

I've been buying from them for about FOUR years now and consistently my family knows when they provided the meat.

You're crazy to buy anywhere else.

Their employees are knowledgeable and courteous as well. Last trip I didn't see fat back but I asked and in about 3 minutes their butcher walked out with FRESH fat back which I am cooking as I write this.

Again, if you are passionate about cooking, you need the best ingredients. This shop provides the best 5 star ingredients for 100 miles.

1 Star for Customer Service (or lack there of) Not to mention the place is not very clean. But, back to the customer service thing.

Every time I have gone in there It hasn't been the best customer service, but I have been able to overlook it because my family has been going to Rocket City Meat and Seafood on and off since they opened in the mid 80's. I have recently started shopping there myself since I moved here to Huntsville to be with family.

I literally JUST called to ask a few questions about raw meats and bones that may not be used for "normal" human consumption as my veterinarian recommend that I maybe transition my dog, Jack, to a raw diet. The lady that answered, answered my first question with "no ma'am". As I began to ask her another question in my series I had prepared she said "no ma'am" this time with an impatient tone, before I could even get out the words "do y'all". I told her she didn't even know what I was going to ask her next and how rude that was of her to say before I could even complete my question.

Y'all, she hung up on me. LOL. It's funny (I have a pretty good sense of humor), but it's so unprofessional. I guess they're making enough money that they don't need mine anymore.

Good selection of tame (beef, chicken, pork) and wild meats (goat, rabbit, alligator, etc., no deer) never can keep some meats in stock, they go fast!

I called to ask about a case of chicken wings, and asked how many (rough estimate) were in a 40lb. case. The woman on the phone's response was, "Well, it's 40lbs. I've never stood there and counted them." in a sarcastic "I really don't want to help you." tone. When I went in the next day to make a purchase, no one was at the front. I stood there for awhile, and finally drove around back to the office where a lady there had to page someone to help me. When I went back to the front, the woman there was not polite at all. The looks from her and another woman standing there made me feel like they didn't want my business. I purchased anyway, and when I cleaned the chicken I noticed that the joint part of every drum had been cut off, leaving just the meaty part at the top. We will not shop here anymore, considering the all-around disappointing experience. We are small business owners here as well, and good customer service goes a long way.

The place was clean and staff was friendly. I don't understand others post's. Maybe they just are not use to a meat market. Price was great. I even bought my dogs a bone while I was there. Grilling the 4 Ribeyes I bought for $13 tonight. Only thing I didn't like was the pickled sausage I bought, and that was a name brand I seldom do like. Not the fault of the vender. This place is great and I will be returning soon. The also have package deals. Just ask at the register for a flyer. Also went home with a pamphlet with great recipe ideals.

I like this place but I have gotten rotten meat from them sausages to be exact I had also got hamburger,steak and it was bleeding everywhere all out all over me and the cart she had to call them from the back to re package them and clean up she apologized but it's unsanitary and shouldn't happen it's animals blood for crying out loud I used to shop here every week but once I started seeing some of the meat looked spoiled I now only buy boxed foods definitely need to be more clean I wouldn't be surprised if someone got sick from their food it's possible from the way things are looking

My biggest problem with RCM is that it is not very clean for a place that SALES MEAT. I have never been sick from anything I have ate from there thankfully.
But the thing that makes cleanliness worse is there price. Seldom is it even cheaper to buy there. Especially there package deal boxes. Ive bought 4. All 4 I've added up the price of eveything individually and it has been cheaper by roughly 5 to 10 bucks. And paying the cheaper price wich makes it a ripoff not a deal.
