Robb's was the go to music store in Boulder. Too bad they are closing at the end of June. They will be missed.

I love music, I love guitar shops. I love asking questions about music and equipment. If this is you, DONT go to robs music on 30th st. I have purchased over 300 dollars of musical gear and every time I walk in the guy with the cowboy hat and Grateful Dead tyedye, presumably the owner huffs and puffs and rolls his eyes when he actually has to do some work, which is very off putting to a local musician (myself) who would rather support you than go to guitar center or find gear on Craigslist. Throughout the year I go in and ask about their inventory, and f they don't carry a product or are out of stock, they simply shrug their shoulder and give you that "not my problem" vibe. Grow up and act like an enthusiastic committed business owner. Or be a dick. Cheers.

The staff is extremely apathetic and seem almost annoyed anytime they have to get up to help you with anything. They have a decent selection and all, but I genuinely do not believe I've ever seen an employee smile except when they are all chatting with each other, which is about all they do. I would love to support a local shop, but not a place like this.

These guys might know instruments but the two times I visited I was taken back by the lack of customer service-- like I was infringing on their hang out time-- and the price for guitar service was through the roof-- I wanted to support the local shop but I will never return

I absolutely loved my experience at Robb's Boulder Music. I purchased a Yamaha acoustic guitar, Yamaha 88-key keyboard, and several other items at incredible prices over the course of two visits. James and George were so kind and helpful throughout my respective visits. I would definitely recommend this shop to any music lover. They are awesome!
