We enjoy Roaring Run for all four seasons! We have recently upgraded our membership, bought an RV, and come to the camp ground every other weekend. It is very a very beautiful, relaxing, quiet, well taken care of campground, AND only 40 minutes from home!! We always enjoy the different amenities that Roaring Run has to offer: The pool, activities, adult lodge, mini golf, and friendly staff. The Laurel Mountain area has so many other things to offer too, and for all ages. There are two ski resorts close, for the winter, a beautiful state park, with a lake and boating. Walking trails, a beautiful bike trail, a small amusement park for the young at heart.
We have been members for about 5 years now, but my husband has been coming to the campground all of his life, as he has a family member who has been a member for many years. And I can remember my first time at Roaring Run. I knew in that moment, that I would be a member one day, and here we are!! Enjoying, relaxing, making wonderful friends and memories!!

We can only speak from our own personal experience. We have been going to Roaring Run Resort for quite a few years and we really enjoy our time there. We have made so many great lifelong friends there and have lots of fun memories to look back on.

The Resort is family oriented with a lot of activities for families with children. If that is not your thing you are in the Laurel Highlands with so much to do. We enjoy all the nearby points of interest and local fun events and activities. The people in this area are great and make you feel at home - like a neighbor.

The Resort is beautiful. Very peaceful and quiet with access to some excellent cross country hiking. The staff is friendly and helpful. We feel that compared to what is available at other nearby campgrounds Roaring Run Resort offers much more than most places and is reasonable.

All in all our experience at Roaring Run Resort has been very pleasant. We go as often as possible and look forward to many happy years of camping with our friends.

My husband and I became members about a year ago after attending a 90 minute presentation where we'd planned to just come for the "free stuff" you get for showing up! But once we discovered that becoming a member of Roaring Run Resort meant the freedom to camp here and at member resorts in PA and member resorts throughout the U.S., we decided to sign up! There was no pressure to join, in fact the sales presentation was just an opportunity to choose something for our lifestyle that we already wanted. A tour of the resort was included, which made the presentation a lot of fun. What we enjoy most about Roaring Run Resort is the freedom to just arrive without making a reservation months in advance. And since it's a private resort, there's a sense of community, I usually see a familiar face each time I come and learn about other resort locations that I can experience because I am a Roaring Run Resort member. Everything is always clean, accessible, and in working order. The resort staff has always been friendly and accommodating. We come out and enjoy the resort as often as we can!

Recently, my family visited the beautiful Roaring Run Resort, recommended to us by friends. We wanted an affordable, family friendly camping environment and had such a pleasant experience. Roaring Run had nice RV sites, lots of room, plenty of shade and offered a safe environment for young children which was such a relief! I felt completely comfortable allowing them to take off and enjoy the resort. The staff was friendly and approachable from the minute we arrived and met all of my family’s needs.

This resort was a great value and offered many on-site activities that my family loved. In particular, we spent a lot of time at the beautiful volleyball court! The numerous sports activities and miniature golf course were perfect for family time activities. In the evening, the fire pit was a great place to relax and enjoy nature while meeting other families staying at the resort.

Location is great! It is a perfect place to stay in order to be close to numerous biking and hiking trails. Mi family is very big into outdoor activities so this was a big deal to us.The resort is located in a beautiful serene and quiet area, but close enough to great locations for daytime activities like skiing, golfing, and fishing.

For our needs, after weighing the cost versus what we could pay to visit public campsites (which most likely aren’t as nice as Roaring Run,) the hour and a half drive, and most importantly the memories we will look forward to creating with our children and friends, we decided it was well worth it.

I just got back from a Memorial day weekend with my family at the Roaring Run Resort. We stayed in our RV for the long weekend. I don't usually write reviews, but I felt the need to after how friendly their staff treated my family during our time at the resort.
The photo I took below is one of their beautiful family style fire pits we had on our site. My family and I were blown away by it when we first got there. My children enjoyed playing miniature golf, basketball, and hitting the playground all on the resort. We didn't have to leave all weekend. They have everything you need in their country store.
Overall, we had an amazing experience. The resort is located in the beautiful Pennsylvania countryside. It was a family friendly environment with a lot of different things to do. The resort is a great value compared to some of the other RV parks we've been to in Pennsylvania. We made some good friends with some other campers and my family and I are loving being part of the Roaring Run family.

Me and my wife stayed in one of their cabins for the first time for two nights with our kids. We arrived Friday afternoon and were greeted by a very friendly worker in the front lodge. Our cabin was very well kept and had plenty of space for us and the kids. The resort had a gated entrance and there was a strong emphasis on safety, which made us feel comfortable letting the kids run free.

The kids loved the place, and spent almost all of their time at the pool and playing mini golf. Me and the wife enjoyed sitting by the water taking in the views and fishing. There was something to do every night, our favorite being getting to sit around the fire pit talking with some of the other families camping as well as the staff.

Overall, it was definitely worth the money. Since the resort is only an hour and a half away, the membership was a good deal for us because we can use it all summer, especially if you factor in the cost of a night at a public campground. I look forward to coming back and making more memories with my family.

Went there with my wife and daughter in July of 2016. We are members at a ROD resort in NY. There is a huge pool at roaring run and a splash pool for the kids. My daughter loved playing mini golf after dark. Very quiet park with many fun attractions nearby. Went hiking at ohiopyle state park, went to a neat wild animal park sanctuary that is close to roaring run and relaxed next to the fire at the end of the day. Was exactly the type of getaway my family needed. Cant beat the price either as a Resorts of Distinction Member.
