The food is good. Service was a bit lackluster, unless the server knows you or there's more than 2 in your party. We were seated in a back corner, about 20 feet from the kitchen, and able to see and hear conversations and pots clanging. There were many other open tables in the restaurant that evening. After dinner was done, trying to enjoy a conversation and a cup of coffee, the waitress started to set up for lunch for the next day. Felt rushed even though we were less than an hour!

All the good reviews aren't kidding. Their simplest dishes are done well. Portions are generous. Service was excellent. House chianti was very good. The meats on the pasta dishes were great.

Took friends there who never had been. We were made to feel welcomed by the hostess who brought a jar of sauce to us for bringing in new customers and a jar of sauce for the newcomers. Most of us ordered wedding soup and the sample tray. The food and service were outstanding. The wedding soup I'm sad to say is better then my homemade version. It was a very good evening made better by a wonderful meal.

What I want in a restaurant is consistency and Rizzo's fits the bill. Being 100% Italian & first generation here in the US - Rizzo's food gets my unbiased vote of excellence. I do not frequent chain restaurants, especially for Italian so give Rizzo's a try and then write a review. I bet you can't rate them any lower than 4 stars.

Mother's day at rizzos is always busy My wife loves the veal parm. I don't really care for the pasta because my plate is always full of "pasta water" under the sauce It always ends up splashing everywhere!
Don't wear white if the pasta is your choice!

Classic old-fashioned red sauce Italian done perfectly. They aren't reinventing the wheel..they don't need to.
Reliably great, and portions big enough to make tomorrow's lunch, too. Great food, great people. Good for couples, families, and groups/events. They're local legends for a reason.
