If it was possible to leave a zero star rating, I absolutely would. Worst experience ever.

Very nice rustic campground on the Yellow River. No paved pads, but very scenic and shaded. Not very far from the beaches, and they had a vacancy on short notice. My husband and I were a bit confused by the office lady, Cindy, who informed us that they were saving the vacant site for a rig requiring 50 AMP service. The price of the site is the same for 50 AMP as it is for 30 AMP? Not sure. We paid $30/night. The camp host, can't remember her name, was super friendly and so helpful. We really enjoyed our stay.

Well first off we dealt with a woman named Anna in the office and that was a joke. Not only was she extremely rude she was slurring her words so badly that I couldn't understand her at all.

Second we had our grandchildren with us so being a good pawpaw we always want them safe. No matter what area or campground we go into I ALWAYS check the registered sex offender website to know who is around our area. There was one person that was on that list that lived fairly close to the campground ok that wasn't a problem for us UNTIL..the 2nd morning we were there my wife and I went to the clubhouse for coffee and guess what, we came face to face with that man. Maybe that was a one time deal but when we walked the pups that evening we noticed that same individual was hanging out at another camp site sitting around the fire just hanging out. NOW LET ME SAY THAT THIS CAMPGROUND IS SUPPOSED TO BE KID FRIENDLY. I made mention of this to the "host" and he told yes it's ok the registered sex offender WORKS here and the owner is ok with him coming down. SHAME ON THE OWNER. I was outraged!!!!!

So first thing in the morning we checked out even though we had paid for two more days. When we went to the office to explain why we were leaving and to see if we could get a refund once again we had to deal with Anna, I thought the first time was a disaster, but the second go around was worse. Once again we were met with rudeness bordering on the obnoxious. We were told no refunds. So not only was this the worst experience we've ever had it cost us major stress.

MY ADVICE IS DO NOT STAY HERE.

The camp ground and folks are very nice, its quiet, Lots are nice, wi fi was no go in the spot I was in. However reported my water pressure regulator was missing, I think I set it down some where random and went to the store , I reported it and the park workers found it for me and returned it minutes after I mentioned it was missing apparently someone thought it was abandoned and picked it up they got it back locating it several spots up on a table. I thought that was really hospitable for them to track that down for me, and really fast too. they have an over flow area its called I stayed there, so no sewer in those spots, but very covenant dump station and pretty reasonable over all. I would go back for sure.

Great place for boaters and fisherman as the campgrounds extend all the way to the river. Very rural and quiet.

We love this little park! It is so quiet and peaceful and the management has always been super friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a fancy park with lots of pavement, this is not the spot for you. If you are looking to get away from it all among the trees and maybe even take your boat down the river right from the park--this is the perfect place to be! We stop here every time we pass through.

While the staff and other campers were incredibly kind and friendly, and the park was beautiful, the tent campgrounds were grossly overpriced. $30 to pitch my tent for one night??? With the services provided the value was closer to $10. I've paid less to stay in hostels, state parks, and national parks. There is "electricity" at the campsite but it requires some kind of hook up so I was unable to charge my phone. No swimming, the community center was closed. The only reason I stayed here is because I am cycling across the country and was running out of daylight and water. It does, however, seem like a great deal if you have an RV.
