Great place! Laid back & very helpful staff! Riverfront full hookup campsites are beautiful! If your looking for a relaxing get away this is it. It is not a KOA but a awesome place with awesome veiws. No swimming pool but there is a beautiful river with easy access; no playground or camping supplies on site. It is a basic campground but sites are clean & grass is mowed & beatiful green. Galax has all you need as far as Resturant's if you want to get out on the town & walmart , family dollar & magic mart are all less than 20 minutes away. Good cell service with Verizon. Great cat fishing and smallmouth fishing from the bank.

Me and MY Husband stayed at the camp site love it lots of fishing went boating on the river very friendly hot shower very close to town and food looking forward to coming back real soon.Thank You !

Cabin was filthy, mouse droppings and nest in kitchen drawers, none of the air conditioners worked, spider webs everywhere, smoke alarm left on counter with battery out, bullet hole in bedroom window. Campground may be ok for RVs, but I do not recommend the cabin.

I pulled in on my bike expecting to check in to the "cabin" I rented for the night so I could stay out of the rain. Had to call the owner and leave a message on two different lines cause why would he pick up the phone. When I was called back I was told the key was left in the door, warning sign number two. When I got to the "cabin" it was hot and full of bees. Tried the air conditioner and it didn't work. I looked around the campground and didn't feel like I could leave my stuff unattended so I packed up and got out of there. This is not a place for children unless they like industrial equipment and possibly needing a tetanus shot. Stay far away from this campground.

Nothing fancy. River is very shallow and good for skipping rocks or just spalshing around. Bathroom/Shower facilities not the greatest. Concrete floors and shower head. Water was luke warm to cold, never hot. Would prob. camp here again because its close to bike trail and downtown Galax.

Pretty much like below or worse. Never saw the phone or cows. Pretty secluded. Not sure I would stay in the house or cabin. Water was far away from camper and had no picnic table. Nothing for kids. No entertainment. If you want quiet and seclusion go, if you want more don't go. $27.00 a day too much. Never saw anyone at office. I was there in july 2011.
