If you are looking for something sweet this is the place to shop. Great astomphere, interesting demonstrations of candy being made and all the employees are very friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed the taffy machine demonstration and the operator answered our questions and we also got some samples. Keep going through the shop and find the ice cream bar. Everything was delicious!

My wife and I paid a visit here on 9/27 on her sister's recommendation. We returned home and ate the pecan pralines and a bear claw. OMG. These things were awesome! The bear claw is the best I have ever had. I am about to place a mail order.

Do not bring your kids in here unless you want to spend tons of money. I went in here with my wife and about died with how much awesome sweets and candy they have here. I felt like a little kid again with them having lots of candy from when I was a kid. They have sooo much awesome stuff in here it's not even funny. They have salt water taffy, ice cream, pralines and chocolate covered everything! The manager/owner is a Navy veteran and even gave us a discount for being military which was super awesome. I would have spent longer in here and spent more money if my wife hadn't pulled me away.

I ordered a tin of goodies for one of my good friends going through a tough time that lives in SC. Somehow I got the wrong address, and caused many issues with UPS. However, River Street Sweets was awesome. Not only did they send my friend a fresh package to make sure her sweets were still good, but they were so sweet! I would recommend them to ANYONE. Honestly, I live in NC and instead of buying locally I will make sure to buy from them for all future purchases. THANK YOU so much for your understanding for my mistake!!!

Me and my family visited this store and it was very busy. The staff was very friendly and even gave out samples. After leaving and getting to our hotel I realized we didn't get a caramel apple that I had purchased. I called and spoke with Kenny, a manager, and he was very helpful. He apologized for the inconvenience and offered to credit my card, me to come back and pick it up, or he'd ship me one. After asking to ship me one, he decided to ship me 2 caramel apples one with chocolate and one with chocolate and pecans. This was very nice of this company and the management to take care of their customers. Most impressive thing was how yummy all their sweets are. I'd definitely come again and recommend this store to everyone!! Thank you River St. Sweets

Any place that hands me free samples when I walk in the door is okay in my book. I've never had pralines before going there but they were yummy! LOTS of sweets to choose from and they all looked great, staff was so nice & helpful.

Mouthwateringly delicious confections of all kinds. There is something for every sweet-treat lover.

The best pralines I've ever had. Whatever kind of sweet treats you are looking for they have. They give free praline samples. You can watch the candy chefs make the wonderful sweet creations. They have an ice cream parlor inside as well. This is definitely a must see while on River Street.

Some of the best candy on the East Coast! The smell alone will pull you in off of the street and urge you to indulge your sweet tooth :) Incredible chocolate bear claws and fudge!
