I enjoyed visiting here to listen to some Bluegrass jam on a Monday. The menu was a bit pricier than I was expecting based on the atmosphere, but appropriate to the menu items. I had the catfish, which was superb. The sauteed brussel sprouts could have used another minute or two on the heat, but the mixture with shredded carrot and red onions was good. The staff was friendly and fairly attentive. I cannot speak to the other menu items, but given the opportunity, I would eat here again. There is some artwork available on the walls and some very nice stained glass pieces hanging in the front windows for purchase, as well.

I was very pleased with my first ever visit to River City Grill! The breakfast was great! Wasn't a huge fan of the gravy, but otherwise everything was tasty and reasonably priced.
Love the laid back atmosphere.

Highly recommend the burbon glaze steak. Delicious and perfectly prepared. I'm from NY and recently had steak in one of the best steakhouses in NYC. River City Grill steak was that good at 1/4 the price.

Hands down amazing coffee!! So we had this appetizer that's not on the menu, crab cake balls were absolutely delicious! I asked the owner and it looks like they will be offered on a future catering menu. I got my normal chili for lunch with shredded cheese on top, and am completely satisfied! Thank you!! We love this local "mom & pop" shop!

Wow!!! Incredible home town restaurant in downtown Radford. Food phenomenal.. Pancakes as large as dinner plates, plus all food made from scratch. Service was excellent!

This place is a solid choice for brunch/breakfast type food (all I've been there for so far). Almost certainly best in town and definitely top 5 for the NRV. Nice atmosphere, kinda waitstaff, delicious food. I got the big breakfast ( I like to try a little of everything) and I got ALOT of everything. Pricing is reasonable as well. 2 of us breakfasted with drinks and all for about 25 bucks.

Disappointing
We used to love going to RCG. I enjoy eating breakfast for dinner and the breakfast at RCG was spot on. At some point in the last few months, the food quality started to suffer. One visit, the cooking staff was walking around the dining room and their appearance and dress made me question what I was eating. We took a breka from RCG for awhile but then I was hankering for a good beer so we drove back to Radford. After ordering food we were informed the ABC license had been revoked. So, no beer and mediocre food. One more chance last night. We had a party of five and all of us were freezing. We had already ordered coffee to felt obligated to stick it out thinking it might get better. We asked for the heat to be increased but the waitress said the thermostat had been locked before her shift. One other couple was eating with their coats and caps still on. I regret giving them chances but want the RCG that we used to have. This was the last straw. It is really a shame because it had so much potential.

Very good chicken salad wrap. Great selection on the menu should have something for everyone. The homemade potato chips were very good as well. Fast friendly service!

This used to be one of my favorite restaurants to dine in or carry out. However, within the past 6months I have not had a good experience there. We went in to eat and it took over a hour to get our entrees and there was a hair in our appetizer. Every time I place a order for carry out it is always wrong. Something as simple as asking for no tomatoes on my sandwich and getting tomatoes each and everytime has become ridiculous and has made me furious. This most recent time, again I asked for no tomatoes and there was tomatoes so I asked them to make me a new one, when I got home there were STILL tomatoes on there, like they had just picked them out. Thank God I'm not allergic or this would be even more of a big deal. Half way into eating my sandwich there wasn't just one hair but a chunk of hairs. It's almost like they don't care about there guests at all and are just there for a profit. After today I will never eat there again EVER. I highly recommend NOT TO GO THERE. You will be disappointed.

My son & daughter in-law took me there for Mother's Day brunch and I was pleasantly surprised that there was live music performed by an excellent one man band who played and sang bluesy and 70's songs. My favorite tune was Purple Rain! I gotta bring hubby there today "Father's Day" for their awesome home style breakfast!
