New Years was terrible. Completely unprepared for the crowd they booked. Long lines for the bar and longer lines for the bathroom. Staff was unprofessional and slow. Management was non existent and it was a free for all. Never again. Think twice for booking anything at this venue.

We had the worst experience ever in a restaurant. We had reservations for the restaurant, but upon arriving at 7 pm we decided to eat in the Brewhouse instead. That was a mistake. There were 3 people at the bar and on the bar stood their small dog (which we had just seen defecating in the grass outside). I do not think the Health Department would approve of a dog on the bar. The dog also ran around the Brewhouse until the owner finally was able to catch him. According to your website :River City Brewing Company will allow small dogs on the Brew House Deck as long as they are with responsible pet owners, under 25 pounds and on a leash. Well, this little white dog certainly was not on a leash, but he spent time standing on the bar.

There was a table of 4 men, they were given their meals within 10 minutes of our family of 4 arriving. We ordered drinks, 2 appetizers, and 4 meals. The drinks arrived and a table of 4 adults walked in and sat next to our table.

We waited about 20 minutes when the table that arrived after us were served their meals. We called our "waiter" Mike over and asked when would we receive our appetizers and meals? He stated "the restaurant was slammed and the appetizers would be served with our meals, as he didn't put the appetizers in separately." He offered no apology, he simply walked away. Mike did not offer silverware to the just served table. They waited 10 minutes to receive their eating utensils.

We waited an additional 20 minutes and watched who we believed to be a manager, walk in to greet the table of 4 adults as they were eating. He was congratulated by the group for his success and he spent 5 minutes chatting with them. We believe he was a manager, as he spent time behind the bar with the waitress and they laughed about the dog on the bar. He then hung around our lousy waiter Mike and chatted about something on the computer used to place orders.

After 45 minutes of sipping on water and pale ale, we made the decision that we would leave without eating. Not hard to do as we had no appetizers or meals at 745 pm. My husband paid for the drinks, Mike the waiter said nothing to apologize for the delay in service. My husband also told the maître d that we were leaving and would never step foot in RCBC as we had been waiting over 45 minutes for food. There were 10 other customers in the Brewhouse and these 4 were disgusted with RCBC.

We loved staying at this marina! Lee is one of the friendliest dock masters we've ever met. The docks are a bit disheveled but his guidance provided us a decent arrival. The restaurant/brewery has great food, delicious beer, and a great atmosphere for entertaining or watching sports. Friendly staff too!

Terrible hospitality we have ever encountered. We purchased tickets to see the fight. Arrived at 7pm to have dinner and enjoy the DJ that was posted on the advertisement to be entertaining. However, no DJ available. When asked to order dinner the waitress recommended we stand and eat dinner because no chairs were available and if we needed to sit and eat dinner we could sit on a wet bench! I was totally applauded to be treated so unprofessional and unwelcome! After standing four hours waiting on the fight we were unable to hear the fight. There were two fights while JSO sit on the stairs with a drink in hand and watched two white ladies beat up a black guy. Only because he refused to hit back! The other fight a guy hit his date in the facemanagement and staff could use some professionalism!

I visited Jacksonville and found this place listed as a great place to go with a view online. My experience was vastly different.

The factories are old, the service staff uniforms were dirty and the entire mood of the restaurant is generally in the negative side.

We (there wee two of us) walked in and asked the hostess today if there was somewhere to store our bags while we ate. We were on our way to the airport.

She immediately made it clear with her tone and answer that she didn't have anywhere for us to store the bags and pointed to a corner we could put them in, so we nicely did.

When we wanted to leave we were waiting on an Uber to arrive behind the employee counter wth our bags. After a few minutes the same hostess cane over to tell us she needed us to move from behind the counter in a rude way.

Will never eat here again. Hostess staff should be friendly and accommodating. The hiring manager obviously can't screen.

Continues to be a great place to eat. Our appetizer was a little over done, but great just the same. I would recommend coming at night and trying their craft beers.

I can't praise enough! We had a baby shower at RCBC and their service was stellar!! Waiters and waitresses were amazing!! Very helpful and kind! They helped carry things for us, continuously checked on us even though they were slammed!! Thank you Tabitha, and everyone for all you did to make our family event so special! Highly recommend!!!

Burger was not hot. Condiment not with food as requested. Ask for more bread. Never received. Menu selections poor. What happened to this place. Hardly any guests. Downtown eating going down hill. Very sad

Don't go unless you want poor service/cold buffet food/manager(woman) who could care less about the restaurant. Great HOSTESS(African/American lady) a real lady too. Over cooked prime rib. No champagne in the $10 bottomless OJ/go get seconds and your plate still on table. HORRIBLE Easter meal, thought we'd try again. Mgr even said Easter was a bomb. No compensation even offered, donlike us tell others not to go and never return. Poor white trash restaurant DONT WASTE YOU TIME OR $$$

Server was very nice. Food was terrible. Salad was beyond drowned and covered in mushy tomatoes. All 5 entrees were either way over salted or not salted at all. Really terrible food all around. They could use a decor update, but that's the least of their problems. It also took a solid 30 mins to get our food during a slow lunch. BAD experience.

Ugh! Not at all how I remembered brunch at River City. The service was great. Wonderful servers, but the food. Cheaply made food. The eggs tasted like they were powdered eggs, the French toast was frozen French toast sticks.. Everything tasted like it came out of a freezer and reheated.
Nope! Never again. So sad too, bc they used to have an amazing waffle and omelette station and FRESH ingredients.

"Jen" needs to be given the opportunity to attend a customer service seminar. She single handedly turned what should have been an amazing college graduation luncheon into a tense afternoon. She was the absolute worst hostess I have ever encountered. Luckily we had Sabrina as our server. She tried her best to turn the situation around, but the cloud still rested over the day. If not for Sabrina the entire day would have been a bust. We will not return.
