Best crab cakes, cream of crab, and MD crab soup in OC. Carryout only and it's expensive but cheaper than paying tip at a dine in place. Orders have always been ready promptly and accurately. We visit multiple times when we're in OC.
Great seafood selection, great prices! Very friendly service, they will answer any questions you have and help you make the right choice for your next meal! Went in once, I will be returning again soon!
Great food and excellent service. You can taste and smell the ocean freshness here.
Most of what we got was overcooked. Definitely seemed fresh, great use of spices. Prices were decent
Very disappointed after we heard such great things. Ordered and paid for jumbo crabs but they were the size of larges we had last weekend at home. Shrimp were to be 16-20 count but were mixed. Maybe their dinners are good but they screw you on the crabs and shrimp. Will go back to getting our crabs at "Best Crabs" on 142nd St..
D Price is a meatball, send him home. BEST take out in OC by far!! Just try it I will GAURANTEE you will love it :)
We order our crabs from here all summer long!! We live around the corner, so it's super convenient to call ahead and just grab a few dozen crabs to take back to the house. We lay out the paper on our back deck with a few beers. Absolutely love their crabs!! Softshells were amazing as well!! Actually, we've bought many different kinds of fish as well, and have never been dissapointed!! Love this place!!! Reasonable prices to match!! 😀❤️😀
This place is a hole-in-the-wall on the other side of the 7-11 at 120th Street and Coastal Highway. There's no dining on the premises, it's a carryout place, but there is a picnic table in the nearby parking lot you can eat at if you are desperately hungry.
I've been going to Rippons since 1998. I've never ordered steamed crabs, I'm not a crab fan, but I have ordered the Baskets and Platters: fried shrimp, fried clam strips, fried scallops, fried fish, etc. A fried shrimp Basket with french fries as the side will run you about $12.50. A fried scallops Platter with two sides will cost you about $21. I've always been happy with my choices, the food is fresh and reasonably priced. You can expect a wait - the food is cooked to order - so calling ahead may be a good idea.
For a seaside resort town, Ocean City has way too many mediocre crab houses and seafood restaurants serving overpriced food. In my opinion, if you want good seafood you can either 1. drive up to Rehoboth and eat at Jake's, or 2. you can stay in Ocean City and go to Rippons for your carryout seafood.
The crab cake sandwich was delicious and my friends both enjoyed their meals! Great place to stop on your way to the beach.
RIP OFF that's what they should be called. Every crab was missing a leg, they said it was due to the crabs fighting. Really? Every crab? Then in the case you see they sell the legs separately. The over priced crabs were small even though we ordered medium. They would not refund our money even though we never left the building. This is a place that preys on people on vacation. They have to make as much money as they can due to only being open a few months a year. Don't let them RIP YOU OFF at Rippons.
