Fun walking trails. We walked about 2 miles arounds the park. It was easy terrain, all flat and either paved or dirt trails. Beautiful scenery and lots of baby ducks right now! So cute. The ponds are very pretty. Would definitely come here again.
I googled water source near me and this popped up, took me straight to the website.
I was pleasantly surprised by the beauty of this place. Wonderful spot for walking(comfortable dirt paths for people with bad knees), fishing, bird watching, cycling and pet friendly. If cycling stay on side walk. Lot of bird watchers pop out of places with expensive cameras 😉
I recommend keeping pets on leashes. Alot more wildlife than you'd expect.
Also very kid friendly. There's a playground and two spots for future paleontologist. 😁
My son and I love coming here. There are some trails to walk which is nice. There are ducks, turtles, and rabbits you may come across while taking a walk around the trails and lake. Always see people fishing here. There are a couple small areas for the kids. They also have a few events for families, you just need to look it up. Very peaceful and pretty.
Amazing place! I was so surprised to find this beautiful oasis in the city. I actually saw more wildlife here than I’ve ever seen at the Desert Botanical Garden - it’s so beautiful and peaceful. Dog friendly (and cat friendly too - I saw one with a harness on going for a walk). Lots of facilities such as playground equipment for the kids and restrooms. Parking is easier at the library - the parking lot that google takes you to is just the small overflow parking lot. No entrance free - just make sure to leave no trace and don’t be a litterbug. Highly recommend!
What a surprise - a beautiful tranquil oasis hidden from the busy city life of the greater Phoenix area and a refreshing contrast to the Arizona desert. Great place for a short nature walk, birdwatching, enjoying a sunset and meditating in nature. The huge white pelicans are so unexpected and deserving of a photo moment.
Avoid weekends and holidays as it is popular with families and the main trails and view points get overwhelmed.
