I'm new to Palm Springs and looking for the best happy hour spots. Río Azul is a contender. Service was outstanding: friendly, fast, helpful. Food was a deal--taco Thursday, two Hugefor dos dólares, and shredded beef! Margaritas were 2X1, fresh, and decent. And they have chile salt! May la virgen bless y'all. The only flaw here is the salsa. Why does the salsa absolutely suck at the restaurants in this town?

Good food, good prices Have I had better? Sure. Have I had worse? Oh dear lord yes. And spent a tone more! Two big margaritas, two combo meal and lunch/early was under 50 bucks.

Plus a drag show in the main room. Awesome!

This has turned into a bit of a tradition for our first night in Palm Springs on our annual trip. The happy hour is a great deal and the margaritas are a great way to start your first night in the desert! This year we had the nachos, the fish tacos, and the canoa. all appetizers to share and they we so big we couldn't make a dent in them! More food that we could eat and 2 large margaritas for a total of $37. a pretty amazing deal. Combine that with an outdoor patio and excellent service and you know why we came back again this year! One of these years I want to see the brunch drag show!

The food seemed standard, nothing out of the ordinary. The salsa/chips were good. The only sub par item were the margaritas. Had the house and cadillac margarita and they seemed uninviting and a little watered down. Overall an average experience.

Went in with a party of 4 and no one liked what we got. I ordered the carnitas fajitas and the meat had the texture and smelled like crab. Luckily, I guess, it tasted like nothing because crab tasting fajitas would have been pretty disgusting.

Interesting menu of Mexican classics and unusual regional dishes. Excellent service and solid drinks. No reservation? You can usually find space in the bar/lounge with no wait. Same menu, same friendly service.

I thought Rio Azul was great! We loved the food and drinks. They had live music playing. Service was top notch as well. If we come back to Palm Springs it is on our list to visit again.

Everything here was okay, but we'd probably try something different when we come back to Palm Springs.

The staff was friendly, but not very organized. It took about 10 minutes for them to figure out what the wait would be, and then realized that there was no wait. Our waiter was a very friendly guy, but when dinner was over we didn't seem him for another 20 minutes so we could pay.

The drinks were average. I ordered a michelada (not on the menu) and it had sugar on the rim, which was a bit of a putoff. Girlfriend got a margarita that was fine.

I got the Oaxaca Tamal. The meat was tender, but the tamale itself was a touch too dry. My girlfriend liked her shrimp enchiladas, but said she's had better elsewhere. The sides were a bit bland.

Underwhelming.Food was under seasoned and pricey. Meat with fajitas was already cooked and reheated. Dry and unflavored.Tableside guacamole made with prepared avocado already pulverized and server added minimal ingredients - tasteless.

Good vegetarian items & staff knowledge of what is vegetarian. Different seating options including bar, high table & outside. There is a bar area with tvs set to sports. The non happy hour guacamole is made in front of you but didn't have the kick I expected. Enchiladas were good. Good service.
