Really beautiful place. Love going to shows here. My daughter danced here for years. Enjoyed every show. Lots of memories.
Great place to see anything. Small setting. Beautiful building.
Great show BUT since tickets had seat numbers we didn't get there real early..found out gen administration why have assigned seating on
Tickets!?
We went to see Whose Line comedy and it was hilarious! Good choices in booking. As for the theater, it is BEAUTIFUL. Free parking nearby after 7pm.
Great place to go for a performance. I do not feel safe going to downtown Chicago anymore so this is a great alternative.
Best kept secret! Second visit and will come again if I get a chance. The architecture is completely to original specs. The organ master give the best recital on the original 1926 organ
I have always loved going to concerts at the Rialto since a kid. I have seen countless singers here over the years. It is closer and easier to get to than chicago venues. Every seat in the theatre is a decent view. The festival of trees here is very majestical. I always dreamed about my wedding being here and walking down the balcony stairs! 😉
I love looking at the architecture inside the building. I have taken the tours, been on stage, and seen the infamous green room. I have gotten some great pictures. Highly recommend doing a tour if you love the theatre.
Beautiful Historic Landmark hosting live entertainment with current technology. Seats have plenty of leg room.
This is a great venue to see live performances. This is an older theater with classic ornamental decor. They do not have stadium seating, so your view may be a little obstructed if a tall person sits in front of you. The lighting and the sound are also very good. The theater is well kept and clean and the staff are helpful and courteous. Parking is available near by in outside lots as well as an enclosed lot about a block away.
A beautiful part of history, lovingly maintained and preserved.
Rialto is NOTclosing. Most beautiful theater around. Book a show!!
Largest Chandelier, Beautiful Theater, See Photos
The Rialto Square Theater in downtown Joliet, IL is a gem. This beautiful theatre began life as a movie palace with a gorgeous pipe organ and hosted Vaudeville stage acts. Today the Rialto is big enough to attract big names and host private events year round. But it is small enough that every seat is close to the stage. Tickets are often half the price of Chicago theaters and you sit closer.
This classic theater along Historic Route 66 has a mirrored lobby designed like Versailles. The main floor, balcony and ceiling create great acoustics giving great sound quality. And the Duchess Chandelier is the largest in North America. (See photos.) Call ahead to see about a guided tour. The Rialto is just a block away from Harrah’s Casino with good rooms and food for cheap.
See the rialtosquare website for schedules of events and concerts.
So many great have entertained at this beautiful and architectural Theatre. It was wonderful to see this amazing place as an adult. Seeing as the last time was as a child. Yet the magic awe and wonder were still so prevalent as an adult. I couldn't keep my eyes from roaming from the wonderful stage and act to the amazing ceilings, seats, and architecture or this amazing place. This is still to this day one of my favorite theatres I can't wait to bring my children soon. Thanks Rialto square Theatre.
The Rialto has the most beautiful design and details in the interior of the theater that I have ever seen. The lobby is almost a block long and looks like a European palace. But, the best part is the seating and the sound quality inside the theater. There is not a bad seat - from the front to the back and into the balcony. Easy parking and great restaurants within a block. Go to Chicago Street Pub after the show for a live music act.
