I love Rev Bike & Bean. They did a tuneup on my road bike and it came back feeling like a brand new machine. They told me what the price was going to be before I agreed to the tuneup and stuck with that once it was done. It only took them a few days to get it done and they went over everything that they did and why they did it. A few month's later my shifting was getting a little clickety clackity and they adjusted my derailleur at no charge. Great customer service. Great people. Great bike service. I'll pay a little more to get my tubes and tape from Bike & Bean just because I love the place.

Whether it's a personal tune up or retrofitting an entire cycling program, Revolution Bike & Bean is the place to go. There is something to be said about the knowledgeable and personable staff who immerse themselves in cycling and the culture.

In choosing Revolution Bike and Bean I know I'm going to get great service on and off the bike. Regardless of the bike brand, make, or model, there is no better shop in Bloomington.

Rev is my favorite bike shop in Bloomington. The shop has a great atmosphere with staff who are always welcoming and helpful. The shop has a great selection of gear and bikes for all kinds of riders. And the times I've had to order something it always comes in quickly. I ordered a reverb dropper seatpost from the shop and they even price matched online prices for me. Love going to the shop and being around the people who work there.

Ever since I started cycling, Revolution has been my go-to bike shop. They are immensely helpful and really seek to serve the Bloomington community. Whether it's workshops, participation at a local event, or weekly group rides, I've seen the owner and staff give a lot back to the people around them. They often walk people through the work their bikes need; education like this promotes a safer (and less expensive) experience for the customer in the long term. I always leave the shop with more knowledge than before. If you are apprehensive about the sometimes intimidating atmosphere of a bike shop, then try this one, and I bet your experience will be a good one. They are patient and kind and listen to their customers.

When I choose to go to Revolution Bike and Bean I know I'm going to get great service on and off the bike. A few times a week I swing in to the shop on my lunch break for a coffee and am treated with warm conversation and stories from the staff.
When it comes to on the bike service, I could ask for a better experience. I love my bike and only use bicycling as my source of transportation. Revolution bike and bean always gets me going again no matter their situation. They truly understand what it means to be a cyclist.
Out of the shop, I can count on their staff engaging in the cycling community and riding their bicycles. I see Don and many of his staff members riding their bike on and off road multiple times a week. I couldn't urge anyone more to come check this awesome place out!

If you are looking for a bicycle shop to tune up your kid's bikes or your own "neighborhood cruiser", I can not recommend Rev Bike and Bean. I know, it sounds crazy because blending Bicycles and Coffee, just screams 'We do it all super-awesomely'. And these folks most likely do, for the crowd that pedals around bicycles with super-awesome price tags. Getting a couple of new tires and inner tubes on a handed down bicycle proved to be a challenge however.

I took in a bicycle my father-in-law passed down to my son for RB&B to install two tires and tubes. They did a nice job helping us select tires. They then installed them and I bought some accessories for my other son's bicycle. Paid the $150 bill and we were out the door. My son decided to ride the bike to the truck parked down the street. He got about 5 feet and the rear tire cocked sideways and locked up. Back in the store, tightened up the wheel, and back out the door. He rode the bike to the truck and by the time he got there the front tire was flat. I figured the valve stem was loose and I could take care of that at home. At the house I noticed that there were no caps on the valve stems also. No biggie, I can find a couple of valve caps.

The next day the front tire was flat again. Back to RB&B after work. They looked at the tire and rim and informed me that they could not find a hole in the tube but the rubber strip over the spokes inside the rim must be the problem. I could not figure out how that would cause a non-existent hole in the inner tube, but they said they would install a new spoke strip and new inner tube. I said OK. I pointed out the lack of caps on the valve stems, and they replied that caps to keep dirt or moisture out of the valve stem that seals against air escaping from the inner tube were "not necessary." I could not argue with that logic so I nodded my head and assumed I must look somewhat like Forrest Gump amongst these wizards of compressed air technology.

Twenty minutes later the bicycle was all finished. The technician said she would meet me over at the register. When I asked what for, she replied to pay for the spoke strip and the new inner tube which she acknowledged I really should not have needed to have replaced so soon. For an additional $9.50 I learned where I will not go for future bicycle needs, and was inspired to write a review. Hopefully this review will save someone else a similar experience.

Salespeople were kinda rude. I know nothing about bikes and they didn't seem interested in explaining what was wrong with my bike.

Refused to give any quote on how much repairs on my bike would cost before fixing it.

Prices seemed reasonable. $15 to fix my bike chain.

Helpful, kind, knowledgeable and generous staff. I bought a fully outfitted bike a year or so ago and felt totally taken care of. Just got it tuned up and the turn-around, price and information sharing far surpassed my expectations.
