Stayed here for our honeymoonit was perfect. Location is literally on the beach. Water is in the 70's. No tourist crowds, crazy skyscraper buildings or busy resorts. This is hometown Florida. We rented bikes and cruised anywhere we wanted on the island all week. One day we drove down to Siesta Key (a top rated beach) and within 30 minutes came right back ot our private beach. We are planning to come back here for future anniversarys. Best of luck to those in Hurricane Irmas path.

The beach is beautiful, but the hotel need to be updated, rooms look to old, the furniture too, the bathrooms are really old, but the beach make it, spend the day at the beach and forget about the hotel

Rooms desperately need an up-date. Room wasn't completely cleaned. Hair, crumbs and sand on the floor, stained towels, etc. Office was locked, no one in sight at 10:45 a.m. Monday- not to return until 1 p.m. We could not properly check out before we left.
We have been owners for 9 years and have enjoyed MANY Bluegreen resorts. More than likely, we will not be returning to Resort 66.

This small, quiet resort is right on the beach, but only 5 units are waterfront. The office is not open after 6:30 and often locked up during working hours. The units are small, but clean. They definitely need updates as well. Pool and hot tub is a nice ammenity, although last year when we stayed there, we ended up with chemical burns from the hot tub. It was fine this stay. On a 1 to 5 grade, I'd actually give it a 2.5. Almost forgot to add Beds are comfortable.
