The restmooms in the emergency rooms are out of order both mens and women and I check with security to find out which restrooms to use and was treated like a common Criminal. The white security officer got loud with me about wearing a pass that I received earlier and the evening. Needless to say I never use the restroom instead I chose to leave due to the disrespectful manner in which I was treated by the white security officer. I understand that the job of being a security officer for a local hospital can be stressful but that's no excuse to just disrespect patients or visitors who are just inquiring about the facilities. Merry Christmas to all.

Nursing staff was very courteous and made me feel at ease. Facility was clean and inviting. Pre-registration was great. Dr. Sabates is the best. The procedure went well. Very happy with the entire experience.

I have only positive things to say. The receptionists, nurses, and doctors have been so kind and caring. Dr. Kalra is one of the best doctors I've ever come across. I have always been listened to, respected, and very well taken care of.

I recently returned to Research Medical for follow up after spinal fusion surgery and continue to be impressed by the level of care at this hospital. From the people who check you in, nurses, xray technicians, and doctors, all are professional, kind and knowledgeable. Even those you meet in the hallways are friendly and helpful. The facility itself is clean and cheerful. Thank you, Research Hospital staff for making a difficult time a little easier.

My Grandmother was transferred from Lee's Summit to this hell hole in September of this year. She was scheduled for a amputation but was too ill for the surgery. The doctors and nurses let my 87 year old Grandma lay in a room on the third floor for four days without fluids and a catheter, after many attempts by family members to get these doctors and nurses to help make her more comfortable all they did is give her a muscle relaxer, on day four by the way. On day five a very rude nurse told my family the only way they would release my dear grandmother from this hospital was to a nursing home to pass away. On day six my grandmother still no I.V. no catheter and she had not eaten a bite of food in 6 days. She nibbled ice chips and we were very, very rudely told not to feed her anything because her kidneys were shutting down. We would sneak and feed her anyway. And Grandma starting talking again and responding!!! The staff started bringing 3 meals a day, she received an IVand things started looking up with the staff and for my dear Grandma. and then more neglect began. My Mother and Aunt had many conversations and conformations with the nurses about keeping my grandmother keep and sanitary. It did nothing. Those cold hearted monsters continued to neglect her. My Mother and Aunt and my Grandfather took care of her, kept her clean and changed her bed pad as needed.( the nurses would rarely respond to the call button and good luck finding anyone at a nurses station.)Grandma stayed in this dump for 1 month.Since Grandma was improving the Doctors decided to amputate her leg because her vascular disease had taken over and caused her left leg to deteriorate. She made it through the surgery, Unfortunately she passed the next day.we buried my dear Grandmother on that following Saturday. I miss my Grandma everyday! She was 87 years old and many have said that hada good long life, and agree. She had a fabulous life!!! And she was very loved!!! That is why I am writing this today because even my grandmother had a wonderful life, she was made to suffer horribly at this awful place because no one would let us take her out ourselves and she became too ill to leave. So she suffered through this whole ordeal and died at their hands. I hope every person That reads this, PLEASE DO NOT take your loved ones here. If any way possible please go somewhere else.

Very dirty rooms, the vents caked in dust, food spilled on the tray table. Long waits for care. Not impressed at all. I hope I never have to go there again.

I recently had my first baby here in the maternity unit. Lisa was my labor nurse and she was the BEST!!!!! I cannot say enough positive things about her and our experience. We were treated with such care by all the staff. Our midwife from New Birth Co came to work with the staff to ensure our birth was everything we wanted, considering we had to go from a natural labor to being induced. They have a high level of security on the floor, they explain everything in detail, and make you feel as comfortable as you can in a hospital. I am so glad we came here to deliver our baby girl.

Nurses were just superb. So compassionate and helpful. Food service, I loved the staff and food was excellent. Attending Doctor had the big picture and tests determined why I ended up being transported and identified the overriding problem. He was the only Dr. I saw, but he was on top of it.

I had planned on giving birth at a local birthing center but was required to goto RMC due to an unexpected health issue. It wound up being a fantastic experience. They are super respectful of laboring moms and did just about everything they could to adhere to my birthing plan (even though it was written for the birthing center). The nurses were amazing. My dayshift nurse during labor, Christina, and Kristen, my nightshift nurse after delivery, were absolutely wonderful. Erin & Rainee were great too, and the lactation consultant, Leah, was super helpful! I ended up needing a vacuum to help deliver my baby and they called in Dr. Sullivan last minute. He was the sweetest. He even had the courtesy the next day to let me sleep rather than wake me for his follow-up visit. This really probably is one of the best hospitals in the KC area to deliver your baby if you're wanting to go a little more natural or at least want to have a little more control over your birthing experience. They totally encourage BF and rooming in also. My only negative is that the food is God-awful and there were a few times we would call in our orders and the restaurant staff was super unprofessional and rude. But it's a hospital, not a Michelin-starred restaurant. Other than that, I would recommend this hospital to another mom in a heartbeat!

I was very well cared for, from the ER to radiology to the 4th floor. All of the staff were very kind and kept me informed of the plan for my care. I would recommend Research to all my friends and family. The Cancer Center is well known across the country as being one of the finest.

Everyone dreads the ER - because you imagine the hours upon hours of waiting. I was at Research Medical during a busy time (yesterday evening), and did not have to wait more than 5-10 minutes to see someone. I was promptly cared for - they also handed me a list of procedures that I would be receiving there. I've only been to the ER 4 times in my lifetime, but Research Medical provided me with the best experience of all. Kudos to them.

I have been receiving treatment at Sarah Canon Cancer Center at Research Medical Center for the last year and it has been a very positive experience. After spending time a the premier Cancer Center in the world I felt more like a number than a person, at Research they call you by your name without looking at the chart. It's a great feeling! The doctors and staff are top notch and it shows in a caring atmosphere.
