Located at the heart of downtown Cleveland right on public square. The Renaissance is a magnificent building with not only beautiful architecture but with the elegance on the interior to match. With places multiple places to eat within walking distance and attached within tower city it is your one stop if you are looking to stay in heart of Cleveland and experience all that Cleveland has to offer.

This is a nice hotel, with clean, although small, rooms, the front desk staff was friendly and helpful and the lobby was beautiful. It couldn’t be in a better location as it is attached to the mall, and the train station, and very close to a number of other attractions such as the casino, and the Quicken Loans Arena. It also overlooks the city square and everything was decorated beautifully for Christmas.

Giving it only four stars because of the amenities it lacks. Had to pay $30 for parking in the hotel’s parking garage. No free Wi-Fi which is now standard at most hotels.

This was a perfect hotel for our visit. I came to Cleveland for a concert at Quicken Loans Arena and didn't know until we arrived that the hotel was connected to the mall which was connected to the Q. It was so convenient! The staff was very nice and I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Just checked in. Will update later but Rooms are dirty and not updated (messy caulk in bathroom, peeling wallpaper, stains on carpet and furniture), room is hot as building is only on heat now, no one offered to help with luggage, the club lounge smelled and had no napkins, front staff were not friendly, said I got an upgrade then had to retract, and location is in high loitering area. Plenty of other places to stay in the city at slightly higher prices but much better condition. We stayed because it had a pool for the kids. The pictures are deceiving. Nice bar though which we need.

Pretty place. Classic and classy. It would have been awesome but the people on the bar and the housekeeper didn't do their work properly too slow service and poor cleaning of the room. It's a shame that a nice place like this have that people.

My experience was poor, and I made that known to the hotel management. But the management made it worse. I detailed my experience to management and then the Director of Room Operations contacted me by email and telephone. I could not return her call but I responded several times by email. Crickets. have heard nothing back from this woman in about six weeks. Apparently, I am being ignored because I have given the hotel a poor review. Issues happen but the follow up from management is very important to ensure good customer service and goodwill. The management of this hotel does not care about the customer after the bill is paid. This is a poor reflection on the Marriott family of hotels.

First, the good: it's an old, grand building that has been renovated. The rooms are nice it's a good location if you need to be in that immediate downtown area. Also, the staff is well-trained and really fantastic.

The bad: although the downstairs in lobby area is ornate, beautiful architecture, the building is way past its prime and I would imagine it's a complete money pit. That said, some corporation put a ton of money into the renovation. There is still a hint of it being a bit dirty and unfinished. The carpets in that lower area, although beautifully printed, are faded and have seen better days. The downtown, indoor mall that is attached to the hotel is suffering from inner-city blight.

Look, I'm being nitpicky here, the truth is it's nice, the beds are comfortable, the pillows are great and the rest of what I've said is just the hotel slapping you around a little bit and saying, Hey pal, you're in Cleveland, remember?

Great downtown location! Busy place! Our check in was easy. Great service from all the employees we talked to. Lost & found were very helpful in locating my prescription glasses that got left in the room. They were very professional and I was able to pick them up on my return trip to the downtown Cleveland area the following Friday. Room was nice & clean. Quality bathroom products as they carry Aveda products. Although the room was considered a cozy queen - and it was cozy (small). Pool was located in a cool atrium. No whirlpool was disappointing.

Clean room, friendly staff. Room was bigger than the Marriott but was a bit more dated (old fan unit in room, older bathroom). Pool was very unique and nice. Easy parking. Close to the Casino which shows with the type of people hanging around outside the property, don't know if I'd want to be walking around too much after dusk.

Great location right on public square. The lobby was a little old fashion. The room was clean and nicely renovated but they bathroom was dated. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Over all the location and price is why I gave it 4 stars but I wouldn't call it modern or luxurious.

Great location with ample parking around the building. Old world style with a top notch front desk staff. The styling has been updated, but it is still definitely an old building. Well worth a stay.

This is a very old hotel. The bed and sheets are comfy, the decor is cool, and it's very rustic. Outside of that the hotel is incredibly dated and hopefully is going through renovations. The location is right downtown and has 27$ parking fee which is 'okay'. The garage is kind of in bad shape as well though. I'm not sure this will be my first choice next time.

This was a beautiful hotel. The room was unique, the layout felt antique. The bed was nice, the shower great. Breakfast was delicious, albeit expensive like any other high end hotel. The hotel is attached to a casino and close to other nightlife. It's also a mere 12-15 minutes from Cleveland clinic.
