Nice clean hotel with easy access to the convention center. Free and easy parking is of course appreciated. Fast elevators, clean rooms and free coffee in the morning. No complaints other than the tv was mounted at an angle.
Nothing fancy, but things seemed to be well maintained. Prices are reasonable. Their continental breakfast was better than a lot of other ones I've had. Hard boiled eggs, yogurt, cereal, juice, muffins and bagels and a decent selection of coffee and tea.
Perfect hotel experience. We arrived during a storm and the convenient check in parking allowed our stuff to stay dry. The weather temporarily knocked out cable but we got a phone call from the front desk saying it should be working again very quickly. The breakfast could use some work but it was better than not having breakfast. This is my second time staying here and I would stay again.
Do you like hassle free parking, clean quiet rooms and affordable prices? If so, skip this terrible excuse for a hotel at all costs. Parking is ten dollars a night and across a four lane road, IF there are enough spaces. The walls are made out of paper and you can hear EVERYTHING. The heater sounds like the first ever locomotive barrelling through the room. Check the chairs, because the lounger in my room had signs of water damage. I don't even want to know. Also, they charge the same price as a real hotel. It's absolutely ridiculous. Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else.
The rooms were clean and spacious-we stayed in a standard king I think. The bed was ok, but the pillows were awful: hard and flat. The continental breakfast was very basic: muffins, bagels, toast, fruit, yogurt, coffee, and juice. The location is very convenient to many things down town. Our wedding reception was at Dock 580 and we chose this hotel because of its proximity to the venue as well as the reasonable prices. My bridesmaids and I were able to get ready in one of their conference rooms which was a nice size with lots of windows for natural light, and tables and chairs, but when we got there, there was moldy trash sitting on top of the garbage can and flies all around it so we had to have somebody come change it. Overall, I would probably stay there again for the price, but there were some missed details and I wouldn't choose it again for a special event.
Rooms are nice and the parking wasn't bad either! The breakfast left a little to be desired but it did the job. The staff were very friendly, courteous and professional. Would definitely stay there again for future events.
This is my first time for a red roof. The problem started with check-in they charge me an additional $1.50 per day for like something they have in my room and I tell them to remove it but of course they won't. They say I can remove it once I checkout? What? You charge me a fee that I have to waste my time on checkout for them to take it off? What's the point?
The walls are pretty thin/low quality. I can hear all activity outside my door and being next to elevator doesn't help and a dog 2 rooms down keeps making noises.
They have these envelopes in my room that beg for tips for the cleaning personnel. They should pay their staff a fair wage and not try to provoke me to leave tips for something that should be included in the base fee.
Overall , it's a hotel that is desperate to add anything into their profits even by charging questionable fees and begging for tips for their likely under-paid/under-appreciated staff. The room was average, the bed was comfortable and they had decently positioned outlets to charge all my personal devices.
I won't be staying here anytime soon.
We had a king size bedroom. I stayed in hotels that were roughly the same price or even cheaper that had a lot more space and nicer amenities. I can only talk that up to Red Roof not being a higher quality Hotel like Marriott. And that the hotel was more of convenience and not of quality
The rooms were clean and there was a microwave and mini fridge which is always a plus. There were so many outlets and a lot of counter space in our single king size bed room. The breakfast was nothing extravagant, but it was complimentary, which is always wonderful. Parking is an extra $10 and there aren't many other spots around so just be prepared to pay or walk a bit to your car.
Staff was very friendly and rooms were clean. They gave me complimentary parking because it was my birthday, which was super sweet as well. Will definitely keep Red Roof in mind for future visits to Columbus.
Hotel was fine it's a inexpensive room for the night. There is no real restaurant or room service or anything. There is a free contental breakfast which is good to grab a quick bite. The rooms are nice, I would have given 4 stars however I noticed the wood floors in the room were very dirty. My feet were black after walking around. I only noticed it when I showered and saw the dust and dirt coming off my feet. That's when I took a towel to the floor and found they were fility. The bed was a spring mattress, it's what is to be expected for $99 a night. If you need a simple hotel for a bed this is a great choice. Its not the best hotel if you're looking for a high class experience.
The best customer service I have experienced in a long time. Every single person you talk to is friendly and helpful. I booked through hotwire, but it is worth paying the extra money to ensure I stay here on my next visit. I highly recommend this location.
Staff was very helpful and polite. All areas were very clean. Rooms were adequate, but a little fresh air would have been nice. Very close to convention center and no waiting for elevators when it's busy!
Very basic hotel. Only 2 pillows on the full sized bed that I shared with my husband. They were so flat and shapeless that I couldn't even sit up against them to watch TV in bed. lol It was pretty clean though and just okay. Very, very basic continental breakfast, but at least they gave you something to eat for free. Not bad overall. I'd go there again. Just ask for extra pillows!
