I don't understand why many people complain about this multi theater. I usually go there and I find the seat comfortable, the theaters in clean condition and the concession decent and overpriced like everywhere else.

The parking space is massive and the back entrance is very convenient. 5 solid stars.

Overpriced from beginning to end. The seats are comfortable and the space between rows is great, so nobody bothers you and you don't bother anybody, but I guess they need to overcharge to make up for having less seats. Having to pay for popcorn salt is a bit extreme. The staff seems nice.

my mom and i love this theater, especially since they’ve remodeled. the luxury lounger seats are A M A Z I N G! tons of legroom, tables, and the seats are reclining!

the best part for us is the fact that they offer closed captions for every movie, every showtime. just ask for the device at the ticket booth in exchange for your license (as collateral) and it sits in the cup holder and is adjustable to however you’d like it. a great service for the hearing impaired!

I've been to Rave many times, since it is the cloest theater. It has recently renovated, and has very comfortable seats, that recline and give lots of legroom, etc.
However, that's where the compliments end. I recently went to watch a movie with some friends, and much to our dismay, there was no sound. The audio must have switched off or something. On top of that, the movie was 3D, but no one gave us glasses, so we had to physically go out and ask for them. Some stranger watching with us did call the theater, and got the audio working eventually. That person deserves 5 stars. However, I left to use the bathroom, and when I came back, the audio was off again, forcing the same person to call, and ask for the audio to be restored.

This isn't the only issue I've had with them, including over the top security, where they ask multiple times for an ID for rated R movies, slowing things down dramatically. Like so what if a 16 year old watches a movie with a sex scene? No one cares.

Man I hope this place doesn't go out of business. The staff is great, seats are comfy, food is excellent (if pricey). But the place is practically abandoned every time I go, regardless of the day of the week or what time I go. Really makes me wonder how they're still open.

I was surprised the last time I went to a movie here. Gone we're the cozy starlit corner full of small tables and chairs where one could sit and chat while having a snack before or after the movie. Gone we're the various places to get different things to eat or drink, such as Nathan's. It was cold and impersonal and felt more like a people processing and indoctrination plant than a fun, social, entertainment complex.

What’s funny is I’ve worked at another local theater for years, but I still find myself coming to Rave. It’s a decent, run of the mill theater, but I think I just enjoy the aesthetic and staff more. Movies are clear and the houses are big and roomy. I haven’t had a chance to see a movie with the new luxury chairs- but I’m excited to get the chance! They also have coke products which is a big sell for me. I gave four stars only because their refill policy is a little strict and I’m more of a fan of popcorn tubs rather than bags. So, just nit-picky stuff really. Overall, my favorite place to watch the new releases! (Their imax is always awesome for the stars wars/Marvel movies!!!)

Great movie theater and nice layout. I love that they show anime films. They are undergoing updates so I think it will have a more comfortable vibe once they get the recliner chairs in each theater.

Being as this is one of the only theaters around, Rave basically has a monopoly on and eastern Ann Arbor. Luckily for us, it's a pretty decent theater. Lots of choices for snacks and foods, including Starbucks Coffee. Huge variety of showings and showtimes. The seats are comfy and the auditoriums and bathrooms are kept pretty clean. However, my understanding based on talking to people who have worked here or currently work here is that this is not a particularly disability-friendly place to work. These are things I like to know about places since I'd prefer to give my patronage to businesses that are going above and beyond to be as accessible as possible.

Decent, straight-forward movie theater. Prior attempts to install a gaming area failed, so Rave has stuck to its roots. Soda, popcorn, movie. Cinema quality is good, especially with iMax offerings. Seating is adequate quality and roomy. Kept acceptably clean for a high-traffic theater.

Fun selection of arcade games in the lobby.

No restaurant or bar offerings inside. Mid-range and inexpensive food options nearby, though. An upscale dinner would be a fair drive away, though.

Clean and well maintained. Not too crowded, even on weekends. Can watch the movie peacefully.

Assigned seats that you pick yourself. Large seats that recline and plenty of room between rows of seats. Best part is feeling like your comfy in your own living room with a bar!

Excellent theatre since the remodel. Plus they have $6 early bird tickets on the weekend. Hard to beat if you go early

They are close and convenient, but their theaters are only average while charging high prices and offering low quality of service. I've been going to this theater for about 4 years now, but the service just keeps getting worse while the prices continue to increase.

For a single person I walked out costing $25 for a movie ticket, a popcorn and a drink. That's about 25% more than comparable theaters in the area. They charge $6 for a large drink, but no longer offer refills while it only costs them ~$0.10. I get that concessions are how theaters make their profits, but any reputable chain offers free refills while charging exorbitant rates.

There service is consistently slow, and their theaters aren't reliable. I've been in several showings where the lights don't turn off at the start or don't turn on at the end. Their digital feed is unreliable as well, their "special events" are streamed and frequently glitch out, losing audio, video, or both.

Closest theater to our home. We go to the movies about 3-4 times a month. Large buttery popcorn and large pop or slushy. Sometimes getting Pizza, hotdog and/or candy. We've played some games in the game area, and sat at tables if we arrived early or waiting for anyone in our group to use the huge restrooms. Staff are usually pleasant and courteous.
