First impressions mean alot to people let me tell ya. rustic, immaculate, clean as a whistle.
Now please note. up this far north, only 16 miles from Canada,
you have little or no TV reception so satelite is the way to go. There is no cell tower, so there is no cell reception, but the campground has internet. We stayed on Site #1 due to our number of people. It was quite large and level and the mechanicals were perfectly laid out so you could drive thru and have a breath taking view everytime you stepped out the door.
Our host Paul, and owner, was just what the doctor ordered, looking out for everything and anything we might need and giving us info regarding local restaurants and where to spy for
moose, which, was our reason for being this far north.
Wildlife was everywhere and easily seen. The weather was perfect except for one night of rain. The facilities were top notch and the office open early and closing late. The sight of the First Connecticut Lake was breathtaking and even more so at many other camp sites here at the campground.
Hiking trails invite you to exercise and see many animal tracks, letting you know that they are around and once in a while seen.
We will come back again, no question about it. didn't care about the no TV thing nor the loss of cell phone, never had one as a kid, just recently got one still don't know quite how to use it
For those wishing to get away from it all, this place is the ticket.
