Not a bad experience, been to better hotels. Wished they had a better breakfast. The service was good though.
Upon check in the agent was nice. However, We had roaches come out as we entered the room. The air conditioning was not working, we had to switch rooms. The second agent was not professional, very rude. The rooms are not clean and are dated. The plumbing drains slowly. Will never stay here again or recommend this nasty place to anyone. Do not stay hereit's inexpensive but you will have less headaches if you do more research and pay more.
Do yourself a favor and spend some extra cash elsewhere. Hallways smelled of mold and like a stray cat had peed everywhere. Stains all over the carpets in the room, towels had stains and shower didn’t drain properly. Coffee maker didn’t even work and half the hotel looked like it was condemned. Dirty is an understatement. On top of the filth my card was charged twice and the “manager” said oh no we can only find one charge on our end. I then did a three way call with her and my bank who also told her they charged me twice and even gave her the codes! Come to find out from reviews this has happened to multiple guest. She was angry because now my bank will be fighting one of the TWO charges and she won’t get paid. Or should I say paid double. Really? Money over customer service; what a great establishment they are running. Do not..I repeat do not even bother with this headache of a place.
I booked a hotel room in Orlando on July 17th at Ramada Downtown Orlando. I just get a phone call tonight my reservation is for tomorrow that the hotel was so damaged by the hurricane that they don't have electricity and they can not accommodate my reservations. come to find out the hotel is open and they're charging three times the amount of money because it's a concert weekend and will not honor my reservation that I made back in July and they sent me a confirmation email three days ago, and now state that they can no longer on her my reservation. I have never heard of such a thing in my life and all the traveling that I do! I will never stay at the Ramada again! The man that answered the phone this evening actually told me it was not his problem and he didn't care!
Hotel was affected by Hurricane Irma, but they are renovating it now, which will make it a mich nicer place in the long run. It has great bones from a very glamorous period in time.
When i got there the microwave was very dusty and the pool and hot tub was ok but the hot was durty
It was busy because of hurricane Irma. Walking in the lobby felt like an oasis. Very nice decor spacious and modern. The staff were very professional and efficient. The room was super clean and cool and comfortable. The good was definitely higher end with a fair price point considering the storm. Glad I went.
Great place and friendly staff, especially the GM who was very helpful. Went during a hectic time (hurricane Irma) and they were very accommodating given the circumstances. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
I cannot believe what I just heard!!! My significant other went to find us a room yesterday so hat we could just get some rest. He comes back to tell me that the front desk person says "we don't sell rooms to Florida residents" and the reason being is that supposedly they are under new management. I have never heard something so offensive in my life. How does a company refuse ANY guest a room? The audacity of your employees! And looking at the other reviews it looks as if we saved ourselves anyway
Even that the customer service rep was very professional our room had shortcomings. It looks like the renovations stayed on the sleeping area. First impression, the hotel looks dated. Now, the room. Wi-Fi: super slow, bathroom sink discolored and rusted, shower had broken ceiling, missing grout and dark spots. Toilet: good for anybody 62" or smaller. By the way, have to pay for breakfast and 1st floor door to parking area doesn't close. Hotel good for an overnight. I was expecting more for a Ramada Hotel.
Everything is runned down it smells like meldew nasty, the bed is super used they need to replace them. The carpet is super dirty the only two lights in the room you have to play with the outlet wall and cable to turn the light on very unsafe. The are no outlets to charge electronic devices, the water to shower takes forever to get hot water. The food at the hotel you have to pay out of your on pocket taste bad. When I looked online at the rooms they looked decent once I came and I got the room I was disgusted they are nothing like the pictures it's false advertising. I honesty felt like I was staying in a third world country place. THIS IS THE WORSE HOTEL I EVER BEEN IN.
WAY OVER PRICED!! the room is outdated , they had roaches, the water in the sink was only hot and my kid burnt his mouth.
Customer service was nice, but did not bother to offer a discount.
Mold in the filthy shower. If I could leave a zero review, I would. No roll away beds for guests, we had to sleep 3 in one bed the other bed was broke for the other two guests staying in our room. The floors were
disgusting and the halls and room smelled like mildew. One of the lights wouldn't work at the end of our stay. Not enough plugs to charge our phones, the light in the bathroom took awhile to turn on and had to keep flicking the light switch to actually turn on. Your hotel needs a total overhaul. Shouldn't even be allowed to serve guests in that condition. 0/10. -5 stars! The Eric Young (look it up) of the hotel industry. #SHAME #FADEAWAYANDCLASSIFYYOURSELVESASOBSOLETE
It's a discount hotel, you get a discount experience. Is a good deal but, you need to do your homework to get it. Neighborhood isn't the greatest. It is very close to everything Orlando has to offer. One of the few hotels that has a balcony in each room. Would stay again if cost was the deciding factor
