We went on a dive with them, and on another occasion had our nitrox cylinders filled. Lots of shops in Key Largo don't fill tanks or if so, don't have nitrox or aren't even sure about their compressor being suitable to fill O2 clean cylinders, so that's already a big plus. The drive tour was awesome. Small boats for only 6 drivers, super friendly and competent staff with great local knowledge. We found them very helpful and customer oriented. We had talked to a few locals and also to two competitors and were glad we picked in the end Quiescence.

I arrived 5 mins before closing with an equipment problem. I needed the gear for a morning dive. Kate took the time after closing hours to fix and test my gear issue. A quality shop with quality people focused on customer service. They are a 5 star shop in my book.

I was disappointed in the service my family and I received from Quiescense. We had three scheduled outings but two were canceled due to weather, however we showed up for the third afternoon outing. I felt rushed while getting our gear and loading into the boat, they were pleasant but not super friendly. Once out on the reef, our hired dive guide failed to get the six of us back to the boat before one of our new divers ran out of air. He later blamed it on us wanting a group picture underwater but that took all of two minutes and he could have refused. Since the first dive was an emergency ascent, we did not complete a safety stop, but on the second dive the guide also didn't complete the safety stop.
I have completed over 100 dives and have never had a guide not get us back to the boat nor one who doesn't complete a safety stop. It's shallow diving but my computer still called for a safety stop. Next time don't take a group out unless you can give 100%. Disappointing because it was beautiful diving out there and a great shop setup.response / report this review -

Staff was helpful with any questions that I had. Great equipment. Water was a bit rough but overall a great day of diving.

"Don't go there". (Short and to the point. If you chose to go and potentially waste your time and money there, good luck to you. There are other dive centers professionally staffed and competently operated in the Key Largo area that offer a diver a far better diving experience. I honestly couldn't tell you why these people at this place are even in business. One star is one too many for this whatever it pretends to be, because it sure isn't much of a dive center.) Best of luck.

Customer service is better than any organization I have ever dealt with (even outside of SCUBA diving).
They did not allow my girlfriend to snorkel as the water was too rough and it would be unsafe. She really wanted to go so she went to a different place that took her on the boat and just as they were about to jump in the water they cancelled because it was unsafe. Good on Quiescence for using their judgement and not wasting peoples time or interfering with their safety just to make a few bucks.
As for my dive trip, it was AWESOME! The captain was awesome and had a background in Parks/Recreation/Tourism so he was very knowledgeable about the area, history and regulations. I had an issue with my dive watch so he swapped out my Bluetooth sensor for an analogue gauge; I have never seen such a quick equipment fix. I was truly thankful for this as I would not have been able to do my second dive without it. When I got back to the shop they checked out my watch to make sure it was not entirely damaged, flushed out the salt water and sent me on my way. Extremely friendly atmosphere and I would travel from Canada back to Quiescence in a heart beat.
Thanks staff for helping to make my trip amazing!

We spent about 2 hours snorkling a the Grecian Rocks. They use small boats with only 6 people, so much better than sharing a boat with 20 people. The place they took us to is beautiful.

Great, friendly staff. We're very patient with us in our first post cert dives. 6 person limit per boat is awesome too. Captain Mike and Captain Steve were very gracious with us with us being newbies. Also, they change your tanks for you while you are getting situated on the boat.
They are also very competent. When I had my purge valve stuck open afyer getting in, they were able to help me onto the boat quite quickly and fix the issue.response / report this review -

Great dive shop with great customer service Jason was a wonderful captain. First two dives were so good we booked immediately when we return from the dock. Great prices and rental gear. Good location for a lot of dives. The best part is they truly make the dives very relaxing! They have our businesses for sure!
