New to the area, decided to call this place. My wife called first, they immediately picked and without letting us say a word they said “please hold” we then heard hold music for the next 15 minutes without anyone coming back to the line for an update. The worst part was that after that they hung up. Thanks buddy who ever hung up. Why is this place even open for business with such crappy service. I then called from my phone and the same response, I was on hold for 10 before I hung up. I will not eat from this place ever. There is a lot of competition in the area to even chase after a business that clearly does not want customers.
When first moving to homestead, we ordered from here all the time. The past 2 or 3 times we have ordered for pick up and been told to come in 35 minutes which is plenty of time to make a pizza, we have had to sit and wait 10-15 minutes passed the 35 minute wait time. It’s not like we have a big complicated order. Tonight we placed our order and drove there after forty minutes and still had to wait. The cashier wasn’t very attentive or apologetic and didn’t really seem to care that we had to wait. She brings us half of our order with an attitude and stomped away when we asked for the rest. Highly disappointed in this place and won’t be returning. The food isn’t cheap so maybe try treating customers with respect. And if your busy give a longer wait time and I would leave home later to pick up dinner.
Highly recommended! Even though I didn’t find what I wanted on the menu the server was very helpful. We ended up having the buffalo chicken pizza which blew me away! Some of the best pizza I’ve ever had. Medium priced. Very very clean and the fries and salads are amazing.
Upscale casual vibe. This place would be good for a family night or a date. They also have seafood on the menu for the fish lovers out there
The food is delicious but the waiters don't seem to really want to be there. I've been there a few times and I've only had one good waitress who was actually attentive. Best to just order carry out and just eat outside at one of the tables, it'll be about the same service you'll get inside, two of the waiters I had didn't refill our drinks or give us any napkins when we asked, one brought our food separately so we couldn't eat together. It was a mess. But again, very good food.
We decided to try here on way home from the keys because we have heard such good things about it. We were totally disappoint, we sat at bar because you usually get better service there. Needless to say not so much, I guess because we are not regulars The food was ok not great, and definitely won't be back for., The little girl was nice thought, but they need to tell the young man to lay off the cologne. Should have just gone to Bellini's..
Delicious food, but slow service. We live nearby so this place is a go-to spot for us on weekends or a whatever day. Every time we go its quick to sit but long for them to take your order and serve your food. One time I thought they had even forgotten we were there. The food is delicious so when we finally get the food, you kind of forget how long you've been waiting. EVERYTHING is delicious. If you're planning on seeing a movie, go to Portofino about 2 hrs before your movie starts or you'll definitely miss it.
This is a cycling establishment currently on the upswing. Avoid the crazy wait & crowd at Chilis & check out Portofino. The service staff has made improvements and hopefully won't cycle down anytime soon. Excellent brick oven coal fired pizzas & pasta dishes. I get the dolphin fingers every time. Salads & produce are fresh and done right. We've had quite a few entrees; all are good. Friendly staff & full bar, albeit tiny, with TV screen views from just about any table. A more reliable venue if you're on a movie schedule, which conveniently, is in the same plaza. On a side note, they make excellent fresh lemonades.
Portofino what happened? Your recipe for pizza has gone way downhill!!! I could smell the garlic. I loved the olive oil drizzled over the pie. What? New owner? New recipe? Never again.
Dinner and a Movie?
Portofino is an excellent place to dine in prior to a movie. It is several feet from the Flagship Cinema movie theater. Their Pizza is coal fired and fresh, there Fried Macaroni and Cheese Balls are to "die" for and an excellent bar. Service is prompt and friendly. Prices are reasonable
Great Place for take in or carryout Pizza and Wings. I love their Chicken and Barbecue Pizza. Me, the wife and kids ordered for take out last night and it hit the spot. Good service and management.
