For such a big airport they have everything stream lined. A train shuttles you from baggage claim to the gates and vice versa. This saves so much time instead of walking. They have moving walkways that cut down your time walking. There are many places to eat and buy things as you await your flight. They even have free device charging stations. There are various airlines here and you can pretty much fly anywhere. Picking up people is easy as long as you know the door they'll becoming out of. There are always security, TSA, and police walking around which makes you feel safe.

A nice, functional airport. The rental car unit is attached, which is a luxury. The airport has at least 20 different places for you to eat (try the Mexican). It is easy to get to most gates, and plenty of chargers, USB as well, when you get there. There is a whole Rite Aid in the airport, good for anything you forgot.

Phenomenal service, followed by higher than expected standards of cleanliness and customer assistance! Highly recommend stopping through even if not taking a flight and happily enjoy the day while indulging in one of their many awesomely staffed restaraunts or stopping in and doing a little shopping at their state of the art mall like venues! Highly recommend and strongly suggest you stop by for yourself and see what all the buzz is about! 10/10

PIT has great historical areas. The food there is good. The shuttle train is usually on time and the buses are quick to get you to your airline. There is a lot of parking spaces that are usually clean. The staff at all the shops are nice to you. Usually not crowded and if you are leaving the gate, passengers taking the next flight will be courteous and step aside for you.

One of the best airport I have ever been to. The airport is less crowded most of the times and very easy to get in and out. Free parking shuttles to go to extended parking lot. The shuttle drivers are very friendly and even dropped near my car once when I arrived past the mid night due to a delayed flight. Parking costs for extended parking lots are cheap. Weekend parking turns out cheaper for me than uber rides to/from airport to my home.

Lovely looking airport. Horrible wait time. I'm standing in Delta's line as we speak and there is one person working with about 10 people waiting. They work here right? They know how long security lines are here right? I got here in more than enough time, so I thought. You damn near have to get here 4 hours or more before your flight to avoid ruining through the airport like OJ Simpson.

About as easy of an airport to navigate as it gets. Good food options after you finish security and usually not too bad of a wait to get past security as well. Flights are not always the best so expect a layover depending on where you want to go, but for airports it's about as good as it gets. One of my favorites to fly in and out of.

Great place to fly, my first time on a plane just 3 days ago. Talked to some good people. My shuttle drivers were classic. Everyone has a story to tell. Great job with the hospitality

I LOVE Pittsburgh Int Airport! Especially the latest feature which lets people escort their loved ones to the gate! Finally I did not have to worry whether my non-english-speaking mom will get to the right terminal on her own. Happy as ever!

We had a great experience at the PIT airport. On our outbound flight we had the pleasure to be checked in by the most amazing ground staff ever Erica, this is your promised shoutout! Girl you rock, keep going!

As it is written on the wall " there once was a farm. " I remember the first time I landed there which was March 14 2015. I remember the smell in the air which was fresh and cold.

Just right size airport. One of the great things of this airport is their rental car location. You can just walk down to them without riding a bus.

Although this is my hometown airport, I consider myself an honest reviewer no matter what I'm reviewing. Second, I've always utilized this airport for departures and arrivals rather than layovers.
Pros:Clean restrooms, clean transit, mostly helpful and kind staff, plenty of shopping and restaurants, great signs to point you in the right direction, well organized, fast security check in(see tip), never lost my luggage,has gotten my luggage on the plane even when I've
been running late.
Con: Sometimes I feel employees at airline bag check in counters could be more welcoming but as far as getting people through the lines and to their gate, I've always experienced a speedy process.
Tip: There is security check in upstairs and downstairs. Note-I'm pretty sure upstairs security check in can be used all the time but double check with a staff member. This feature can come in handy if you are running late(30 minutes or less to get to your gate because you arrived at the airport late for whatever reason).

This is a totally awesome airport! It is a large and international airport, but it doesn't get as busy as other big airports do. There is an alternate security upstairs where the airline check is at, which can sometimes get you through quicker. There are enough restaurants and shopping on the other side of security to keep you busy as long as you don't go to the airport too early. Also if it is super early in the morning, then a lot of the places won't be open yet.

I prepaid for the extended lot parking, and when you enter the lot, you're instructed to insert your credit card into the ticket slot. Well, I did and my card got stuck. I had to call for help and they were able to reset the ticket machine in a couple minutes and it spit my card back out. Talk about a near panic attack and almost having a getaway ruined. The lot was extremely packed and it took us 30 minutes to get a space. The shuttle is fine and takes you to the terminal. However, leaving the airport and finding the shuttle stop is a mystery. It was midnight and no one (working) was around to help me find it so I had to use a phone at one of the service desks to call for assistance. There is no signage as to where the shuttle picks you up to take you out to the lots. The airport itself is old, bland and boring. It's impossible to find an electrical outlet to charge a phone. It's easy to get around, but it's small. When I was flying out in the morning, I grabbed breakfast at the McDonalds in there, but the people working behind the counter were as slow as molasses. They strolled around the back, acting like they didn't want to be there. It took nearly 20 minutes to get my food after ordering and it wasn't busy. Coming home around midnight, there was one train taking people to and from the gates and the terminal, and it was just a sea of people waiting. It's too small and there's basically one path of getting out of the terminal, so I was in a crowd of people leaving the airport like a herd of sheep. On a positive note, I was able to fly nonstop to my destination. I noticed most of the flights out of Pittsburgh are not nonstop. I really don't understand how this airport was voted #1 for that fact alone. It's average, if not a little bit below.
