Had a great meal here with my family. Portion sizes were good. My wife reports the hamburger she ordered was one of the best she's had in years. My chicken and waffles were delicious. The dining area is medium-small, but it gave us the impression that we were eating at a "locals only" kind of place.

Wonderful "comfort food" in Salt Lake, with quaint outdoor seating and fresh tasting fried bread that don't have a heavy oil flavor The jam/sauce for it also seems to be something made there that tastes great; much better than the mini jam tubs at the local diner table.

Limited seating is a drawback when the place gets busy, and depending on how salty you like your food, the deep fried pickles may be tiring after several bites.

This is a great place to have breakfast. Coffee was hot and they kept my cup filled. I had the veggie omelette but can't remember the name of it. Was delicious. Enjoyed getting to see the area with our niece. This is a really quaint little place. Not too busy around eight in the morning on a week day in October. They have tables and chairs outside probably in summer when busier. Definitely would come again when in the area.

Not bad, but not nearly as good as the hype made it sound.

The menu had a good mix of offerings, and the wife and I settled on fried pickles, the sausage breakfast sandwich and the pork belly BLT.

Both of the sandwiches were okay, if a tad bland. The fried pickles were great.

The service was good, food came out quickly, in general no complaints there.

The atmosphere was good, not too loud and not too quiet, and the decor was fine.

    I'd call it a style-over-substance place.

Went for dinnerhow can you NOT try a place with such a cute name. This was the only place I encountered in my WY/ID/MT/UT trip that had non-starchy, non-fried veggiesthe braised greens were superb and with no added sugar! Very inventive menu with a big nod to Southern comfort food. Loved the other dinersso eclectic and the neighborhood is very walkable. The amazing waiter was the only one and handled inside and outside of this small establishmenthe may have even been the cook, not sure, but he was very attentive and full of energy. Definitely an excellent place to enjoy a meal.

I wish there was a way to post a picture here. I got the chicken and waffles and ate all but 1/2 the waffle I was stuffed! OMG THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!!! It was my first time eating here and I'm glad my friend recommended it to me. Small joint but very welcoming and great staff!

Amazing. I only regret not being able to get one of their bubblies. I highly recommend getting the pineapple-lemon jam with your waffle. It's very light, and not as acidic as you would think. The biscuits and gravy is fantastic. Not classic southern style, a little lighter and less salty. Also, a half order has one and a half biscuits. I don't know who could finish a full order on their own!!!! My only complaint is that the coffee was a bit watery and burnt, but nothing a little cream couldn't fix.

Our first time here and the service was excellent! I was excited to try a new breakfast/brunch restaurant. When we walked in, it was so cute and we were seated right away. My reason for three stars is the food wasn't my favorite, I got the fish and chips, but was hesitant because the batter was corn meal, the fish was fresh but the batter didn't do it for me, other than that I was a little disappointed that they didn't have tarter sauce (maybe I'm too picky but what's fish and chips without tarter sauce?). Totally willing to give this place another shot and maybe just order something else. Great prices and fresh ingredients! Will try again.

I ordered the chicken and waffles, and my beloved ordered a kale salad. Hers was flavorful, mine was pretty tasteless without the Mae syrup (which tasted like it came from a bottle and not real maple syrup). Even the added bacon just didn't fill my mouth with any kind of "WOW".

Service was pleasant and fairly prompt, which was awesome considering the Holiday rush they had.

On drinks, I had high hopes for the bubbly w/ with blueberry jam, but it also fell short in terms of flavor and overall satisfaction.

    So I rate it a solid 3-star.

Really, really, really good. Well conceived and well priced dishes that are filling and just so crazy tasty. The service is excellent-- it can be a little slow but it's never because of the staff being negligent. They just have a lot to do and seem to like doing it. This is a local staple and a must-have. Their drink menu is a lot of fun and their specials are amazing.

Loved our experience at this restarurant. We brought our puppy and they were very accommodating. They brought out a water dish for him and our server was very attentive.

As for the food, we got the chicken and waffles and it was delicious! The chicken was absolutely amazing! And the waffles were perfect! Definitely recommend and I will be returning.

Trendy little breakfast place. Food is southern comfort style. Everyone has a beard. I had given up on this place. It was weird spicy. The jams were horrible. They recently re did the menu and now it is definitely on my places to have breakfast. I had the waffle today and it was one of the best I've had. Good job pig.

Tried this place out with a friend for brunch on a late Friday morning. The food was really good! We both got the chicken and waffles. The waffles were delicious and the chicken was perfect: crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, served nice and hot, and perfectly seasoned. They had nice sized portions. I thought the $11 or so I paid for the chicken and waffles was fine, but they even have a special one day of the week where they have the chicken and waffles for $5. I forgot what day though.

It seemed like a really popular brunch place because it was completely full when we got there. We had to wait about 30 minutes to be seated but you can wait in the tea shop next door they said. We just waited outside because it was a nice day.

It had a really hipster vibe and style. Like REALLY hipster. I felt a little out of place being the only two people without a plaid flannel shirt and nose ring haha but the food was good enough to make up for that.

My coworkers and I stopped by pig & a jelly jar for breakfast. This restaurant had by far the best service we've had in salt lake this week. The service was prompt and friendly.

The food is good also. we got the kitchen sink to share between two and everyone else ordered the chicken and waffles.

Their jam is great! Love the blueberry lavender and the bacon onion Jams. My friend loved the strawberry coconut.

If you check in on yelp, you can get free toast and there's also a coupon for 5$ for 10&. But you can only use one of those codes.

    Definitely recommend.
