One of worst food and ambiance I have ever seen in my life. I would give only one star because of the host who tried her best to explain why they were out of beef, lamb and few other dishes. I was just wondering why would they even bother to open if they were out of meat? Honestly i was really embarrassed for taking my guests there.
Food was just fantastic! Honestly I was afraid I wasn't going to like it but ultimately turned out to be delicious. Ask for Louise, she took really great care of me and made excellent recommendation! Must not miss.
Delicious food, great ambiance and friendly service
This place is different than any other place in san diego not just because of the incredibly delicious plates but because of the service!
The vibe , the food , the owner of the palace and the staff will get you to feel all the reasons why you got out of the house and eat outside.
Way more than any of my expectations , great experience,
Go there, don't think twice!!
This is not the place to go if you want to bring children. We are a family of five. The waiter after seating said he was going to "remove the extra place settings". There weren't extra place settings since my children are also people and eat with utensils and use napkins. My son had a fork in his hand and the waiter asked me to hand it to him. He left two extra plates at the table "in case the kids needed them". I have three kids. I feel this was very rude and disrespectful. We left before ordering. My husband had gone to this restaurant before with only adults and it was fine. It's just not at all family friendly.
Absolutely amazing!! Hands down the BEST restaurant we ate at during our trip. Our waiter (Paul) is the owner/chef's brother. He was very attentive and helpful. He recommended the lamb tagine so I went with that.
It was the best lamb I've ever had. The meat fell off of the bone with a spoon. It was so incredibly flavorful I couldn't believe it! The garlic mashed potatoes it came with were out of this world! I had it with their take on Sangria (the Morro) which was delicious!! My mom got the chicken tagine which was good but a little on the dry side. I think if it weren't cooked with the bone it would have been more juicy. The flavor was good but it couldn't compete with the lamb.
The only thing I wasn't in love with was the bread. I'm a bread addict but it was a little off for me. The flavor was a little bland and the consistency wasn't my favorite. Overall it didn't matter because the lamb stole the show!
I loved the decor and vibe of the restaurant as well. We'll be sure to stop by the next time we're in town.
Amazing place!! The food is so tasty, im from morocco and i know what is good moroccan food. Ask for Moumen(oener) best Chef ever
This is a very good place to eat. the food is great and it has very attentive and kind staff. if it's your first time they help you choose and explain everything in the menu.
Not much from the outside but very cool when you go in. Great food and service, busy at the weekend with an hour wait often. Owner is Muman and takes great care of you. Getting ready for a major renovation
Never had tried moroccan before my girlfriend turned me on to Kous Kous, but holy smokes what ive been missing. great food, service and atmosphere. hidden gem in SD.
Love this place food is amazing and service is always wonderful!!
Highly recommend Kous Kous. My family and I have been coming here for years. This is authentic Moroccan cooking, which is hard to find in the states. Nice relaxed environment. Great relaxed quiet date spot.
Nice and cozy place, friendly staff, and interesting dishes. Definitely recommend trying this place out.
Excellent restaurant, all around. The waitstaff was very courteous and explained several menu items when we first arrived. The restaurant has a number of specialty cocktails; the ones we ordered were very good. The menu is relatively small but diverse, which allows the restaurant to showcase their best dishes without unnecessary fluff in the menu.
Each dish can serve 1-2 people. We ordered 2 dishes for 3 people and everyone was satisfied with their portion at the end of the meal. Expect to pay $15-20 per entree.
