  I purchased two brand new and very expensive garage doors with openers from Peterson overhead door. Years later one door stopped closing completely. I called Peterson to repair it. They took the opener back to their shop. They said they tried everything to make it work and said that I would just have to buy a new door opener. A new door opener is almost $1000. I asked them to hang it back up and put it back the way it was. They left the door opener in my driveway for me to hang it back up. So I called them back to hang it up. They came and hung it up several days later. Now it completely does not work at all. I probably could have had someone else work on it if they could put it back the way they found it but now it is completely non functional. I called them back and they said there was nothing they could do. Peterson did a repair and left things worse than they were when they found it. They don't care about you and would sooner cut their losses than make it right. Door was very low use door and the other higher use door is still functioning great. I fixed the door for half the price by buying the opener somewhere else.

  Horrible!! Called at 8:30am for emergency repair service. Was told someone would be out late afternoon, and that we didn't need to be there. Upon returning after work I find the garage door is still stuck open. I call them again and I'm told that someone will be there sometime tomorrow. I I replied that it would have been nice to get an update so that I had a chance to call someone else during the day and I was very rudely told to go ahead and call someone else and was hung up on. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Absolutely despicable customer service.

  My father called for a quote on two garage door panels. He didn't confirm he wanted anything replaced, let alone purchased. He had a side job for years with his good friend installing garage doors, so he didn't need the panels replaced. He could do that part himself. He just wanted panels. He hung up the phone and that was that for a bit. He and my mother went to a funeral out of state, so I told them I would house-sit for them. A few hours before they arrived back at their house, a guy in a Peterson's marked van showed up. He didn't knock on the door, he didn't talk to me, no notification of any kind. He walked right into the garage and started replacing the panels. Come to find out, the dunce that did a quote for my dad wrote up a bill and sent this employee to my parents to replace the panels on the garage door. Without confirming with my father, or me, the only person at the residence at that time. He didn't even knock to let me know he was finished. He just took pictures and then buggered off.
  When my parents got home from out of state, they asked me if someone showed up and fixed the garage door. I said yes, to their surprise. They never confirmed that they wanted it done and never heard from the business after my father called for a quote.
  A few weeks later, my father gets a bill in the mail. For $907.20. So, my father called them. The person who answered said he would call my dad back because he didn't know what was going on. The putz didn't call back until a few days ago, yelling at my father about paying him and how my dad was lying to get out of payment. So, my father hung up on him.
  This company isn't seeing a cent of my parents money and I highly recommend you don't even call here for a quote. I wish I could give these sorry scam artists less than one star.

  Call to replace garage door ..couldn't afford their prices(my mother is on a fixed income). I was told they could open it for 100.00 to 150.00 dollars.I said ok. Gentlemen came I talked to him stated just get the door open and I will be happy. They guy called to tell me the the door opened and closed. I was thrilled untill I got the bill of 465.00. When i called to questioned it the man kept saying it needed this and that. I said a phone call to state that would have been nice. They charged me for travel time 166.66 why would you quoted 100 to 150 when they knew travel time would exceed that. In the end the man screamed at me telling me to never lighten their doorstep..I guess you are never allowed to question chargeswill NEVER do business with them again.

  I called them to fix my garage door and install a new opener. They fixed the door and fixed my existing opener. Saved me a lot of money. Came out immediately. I was 45 minutes from their shop and they still came out quickly. Awesome to deal with.
