Very nice staff. Everyone was friendly and eager to help. Maybe don't let employees smoke just outside the door.(I'm talking one step out the door leaning on the building.)

The bird food prices are great, along with the smaller accesories. The animals and the cages and dog toys are very over priced. The staff are friendly and eager to help.

Decent selection and prices are reasonable. Really need to know what you need when going there cause few times I've been there, the employees are more interested in fooling around then helping you. Had 5 or 6 employees walk past me having conversations with other employees that are a couple aisles away.

They have a great selection of animals. We love to check out all the different rooms even if we're just stopping in for cat food.

Disappointed by the response to a promotion they ran last week. Product offered was unavailable and staff would not rain check item when it was back in stock (no restrictions were listed on the coupon such as limited quantities, etc), instead offering a discount on a much larger bag of food. Not very helpful when you are looking at trying a new food for your dog. I understand the offer was popular, but honor your promotion. Contacted store twice through Facebook page and wasn't given the courtesy of a response. Lots of stores sell dog food and supplies and I'll go where the customer service is better than this.

Poor Betta fish --- the stupid little cardboard life support bs you've got going on. Then the "spares" in the dark corner. Just quit. I bought a bunch of (overpriced) wood from you guys 2 months ago, came back today for more only to see all the "new and exciting" bettas, and turned right back around walked out. Wont be back, taking my business too best fish or fish factory. C ya thanks no animal cruelty

Friendly employees, though fairly unorganized. We waited for a while to purchase a pet. Also the small animals are pretty crammed in some of the aquariums on the shelf. We purchased another small animal pet 6 months prior, and they offered food and hay (to mix with ours), etc. to make sure the little guy would have a comfortable change in environment. We picked up a companion this time, and asked for some food (we use the same hay), and needed a manager to confirm giving us a small bag would be ok. Not sure if the previous trip was just better customer satisfaction or there was a management change since then, but it was not consistent for only 6 months in between.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I had an issue with the store not accepting their coupon. I was told by the manager that they could not accept the coupon as the item was on "sale" & they would lose money by honoring their own coupon. The manager was unable to assist me further and indicated that only the 3 owners could resolve my issue. I left messages for owner Mike (Waukesha store) on 12/31/2016, 1/3/2017, 1/10/2017, 1/13/2017 & 2/15/2017, with owner Diane (Menomonee Falls store) on 1/18/2017 & 2/15/2017 and with owner Dan (South 27th Street store) on 1/18/2017, NEVER receiving a single return call. I was in the area of the Menomonee Falls store today (2/16/2017) and stopped in to see if owner Diane was available. She was. When I mentioned my issue to her, she immediately became defensive & indicated she did not agree with me - that because the item was on sale, they could not accept their own coupon (just an FYI - the coupon indicates it's not valid with other "offers" & not when an item is on sale, & they consider a "sale" an offer). When I asked why she & others hadn't returned any of my calls, she told me that it was due to the fact that they did not agree with me, and then she walked away. I've never been treated so rudely by a store owner in my LIFETIME! Looks like I'll be looking for another place to do business! I truly wish I didn't have to give them even 1 star in this review, but must in order to get my rating and review out to the general public.

Lots of dead fish in tanks. A great deal of fish in the tanks with ick. One of their reef tanks had so much algae in it you could barely see inside the tank. Made me feel bad. Bad feels = No deals. Would not stop in again.

First time puppy owner and went in to get a few more items and I had this young Lady who was answering my questions and very knowledgeable. She was running around the store with me and had no issues what so ever. She was so polite and even when I would ask silly questions she would answer them and make me feel comfortable. This will be the only pet store i am shopping at from now on.
