The woman who answered the phone was so incredibly knowledgeable and helpful! She spent time researching and doing the math on our three dogs weights to decide if the amount of chocolate they got into was harmful and determined that they'd be fine. The two emergency vets I called before that told me to come in immediately and it would be $100/dog for the office visits only and then more to induce vommitting, get fluids etc. Thank you so much for not causing us to spend all of our Christmas money on unnecessary things! You have no idea how much you've helped us with a simple phone call. You were wonderful and, even though we live in Pompano Beach, this will be our vet of choice if we ever need anything!

Dr. Monk needs to acquire some bedside manner because he was not tactful about my dog's condition when she was admitted overnight. To be honest, I didn't know whether to thank him for his candor, or punch him in the face for being so indelicate. About 24 hours prior, my vet thought she might have acquired a rare bacteria called leptospirosis, but it turned out to be a very common form of cancer, with symptoms that unfolded too quickly for us to figure out what was going on in time.
In addition to showing no tact about her condition, he starts scaring my parents and saying that we all need to see a doctor immediately because lepto is zoonotic (transmittable to humans) and we could all die. It felt as if he was accusing us of being careless when caring for this animal had been anything but. I later learned from another vet that (although extremely rare) lepto is easily treatable and if left untreated takes weeks, months, and sometimes years to kill a dog or human after they start showing symptoms. Ultimately, none of us had leptospirosis, and neither did my dog, but the realization that my dog was probably not going to survive was a sad moment which he handled VERY poorly.
Needless to say, Dr. Monk definitely threw a lot of cold water on my face. The best thing I can say about his approach was that it prepared me for her passing away four hours later. He wasn't very warm when he informed me on the phone about it either.
When I asked if I could come down and see her one last time, the guy nonchalantly says, "If you want." Yeah, IDIOT, I don't want to see my beloved dog as soon as possible to thank her for what she gave me in life. I'm glad it meant nothing to you; it meant everything to me. The attendant, however, was nice and made sure my dog was comfortable when she passed. I got a nice urn and a paw print back.

My poodle mix was attack by a pit bull. I decide to go to the Tamarac location because of rating. I paid $570 for emergency care. Before leaving, one reception advise I can return for free to remove his drains. I returned 3 day later to a second receptionist that was so rude. I explain I was told to return and you will remove drain, she shot back and said I don't know why she said that but I do it this time and snatches my poodle up in the air an told me go sit down in the front office and wait there, 3 minutes later she brought my dog back and pretty much scold me again to now go to your primary vet to remove stitches. I thank her for her help, she just turned around and walk away. I guess $570 is not enough to get any courtesy after what happen to my poodle. Please think twice before going there!!! Your love one deserve better.

With what happened to my cat and other Animals it is genuinely clear with the care provided, they are considerate and loving wanting the best for the patient no matter what species. The staff was understanding and very knowledgeable. I would recomend to anyone, just be prepared to pay upfront. No billing department. But if its an emergency its worth it.

You people do not deserve to be in animal care. I wouldn't take a dead cricket to you. How dare you use disrespectful and incompassionate talk to someone who is in anguish over their sick pet!!!! How dare you tell my sister and brother in law in a nonchalant way well no more money no more treatment and if we do treat he will die anyway. How dare you degrade the love they have for our skunk. How dare you lack compassion. You should be ashamed of yourselves. And then when someone calls to pay You dare misquote and be rude to them? You are money hungry out to KILL ANIMALS THAT WE CLAIM AS OUR FAMILY. You havent heard the last of me. This is far from over you worthless excuses for veterinarian care!!!!!

By far the greatest, most loving, Doctor I've ever encountered!!! Dr. Seth is all about the care of the animal. My Dutchess was in labor and we discovered she couldn't push one of the puppies due to it being too big. Of course it had to be during Hurricane Irma. Even though we were unsuccessful in saving the pup, he saved my Dutchess!!! I am forever in his debt!!! I would recommend Dr. Seth to any one!!!

I took my puppy to the pet emergency center last week due to the sudden onset of illness. He is a one-year-old border collie mix and was vomiting and had diarrhea with lots of blood in it. Although the hospital was busy, they were prompt, kind, and professional. They did his bloodwork onsite. They quickly, and seemingly accurately, determined that he had gastritis. He received shots, subcutaneous fluids, and I was provided with two prescription medications.
His symptoms went away quickly and, now that he is done with his medication, he is back to 100%. I'm very happy with the service we received. Emergency veterinary treatment was expensive, as expected, but I did not find it to be unreasonable and would definitely use this facility again.response / report this review -

I brought my pet here because of the high ratings on google, however I really wish I hadn't.
My little angel was having diarrhea issues, vomiting and a decreased appetite. I was going out of town the following day, so I wanted to get her checked out quickly before I left. I explained the issues that she was having to the vet, and after I finished he said "Uhhh, okay so WHY is she here", completely blowing off my concerns, and as if my concerns weren't a valid enough reason to bring her in.
He gave her a shot for her "upset stomach" and prescribed pills to help her digestion.
Well, I took her to a DIFFERENT vet as soon as I returned home, a few days later, and it turns out her "upset stomach" was actually hookworms.
Not only was she misdiagnosed and given antibiotics and a shot for something she didn't even need, but this vet made me feel like I was completely wasting their time and my own for being concerned about my pet.
The best part: I didn't even administer the pills to her because of the vets' sloppy and careless demeanor; it was obvious to me that he was just prescribing anything without knowing the real actual source of the issues that she was having.. I'm paying you to tell me whats wrong, not to tell me what I already know.response / report this review -

I took my french bulldog here last night because she got bite by something and had a horrible reaction & threw up twice. The staff was so nice and cared for her like she was their own. We were seen within 10 to 20 mins and were home within 40 mins. I highly recommend this place and will return in the future.

When our senior Maltese's diagnosis proved grave, the doctor and staff at Pet Emergency Center were gracious and understanding. They took into consideration our unique financial circumstance and tailored a care plan that aligned with our budget. Their main focus is the well-being of the animal and it shows in their work. We're very grateful to have found them when we did. My only complaint is I definitely noticed some compassion fatigue from the vet tech/receptionist. She was empathetic, but it did seem a bit forced at times. And once our dog was humanely euthanized, the vet never returned to personally reassure us and see us on our way. The vet tech came out, said she had passed and we can leave whenever we like. Room for improvement..

My vet Dr. Mindlin, has always sent me to see Dr. Brian for after hours emergencies. The staff is lovely, they are quick when it calls for it, take the time when you and your baby need it. They are beyond fair with after hours pricing, and treated my little girl kitty very well more than once. Great experience. Great, compassionate doctor and staff. Thank you for all you do! We will always use this office when needed!

When you own a lab mix, it's bound to happen: She ate a toy. Completely gone in seconds. My vet and tech were very friendly over the phone as well as in person. They were as concerned about my dog as I am. They were able to induce her to vomit out the toy. The price was very reasonable for after hours care. I had called a closer, different ER vet clinic before finding this one. They wanted unnecessary X-rays before inducing my dog to vomit even though I know when and what she ate. That would a waste of time and money. This clinic was quick on their feet and efficient on what they do. That is how all emergency (animal and human) should operate. Will use again for future emergencies.
