  Soup served hot with spot on taste profile. Mussels appetizer spot on. Salad fresh balanced flavors. Spaghetti bowl licking good

  Called to confirm hours. Got left on hold for 30 minutes. Arrived at 8:30. Website says open until 9. Light in window says Open, but girls inside say so sorry, We are closed! So much for customer service! I won't give them another chance!

  Coming in late with only 10 minutes left for the kitchen to be open, the service at Pesto Ristorante was absolutely flawless! Food was hot and delicious. The ambiance here is delightfully calming. Definitely my new favorite for Italian❤️

  What a great little restaurant. Their pizza is the best I have had in San Antonio which includes some pretty good pizza places. I would liken in their pizza to the best in Honolulu which is at the Harbor Pub next to the Ilikai Hotel.
  
  Every dish we ordered today was as good as it gets. The prices are reasonable with today’s inflation rate going up daily.
  
  One thing I found a little strange was when I asked for hot pepper flakes for my pizza, the server grabbed the tall black pepper grinder and started to grind. Both here and in Italy, they most likely will serve you the variety of pepperoni pepper flakes. Hey. I actually prefer a bottle of Tabasco sitting on my table. Anything but grinding black pepper on my food in an Italian restaurant this good.
  
  But that is not why I gave it only four stars when it should be five stars. The ambience and decor is one of trying to be very classy with 20 foot ceilings and 12 foot high windows along the entire dining room which makes you feel like sitting in a very bright fishbowl during the daytime. On top of that, the walls are all light cream with all of the furniture and floor being black or dark gray. My personal preference is one of more coziness then trying to be too classy. Is it possible to make a small Italian restaurant both classy and cozy at the same time? This place does not quite do that, and I wish it did.
