I needed some things for a pirate costume and she was very helpful in helping me find them! Some things were a bit pricey for me, but she worked with me and I was able to get everything I really wanted!

The clothing and prices were reasonable for purchase; however, the woman who owns the place or as she put it, "has been in business for 35 years" is rude and condescending. I wouldn't buy anything from her considering the bad attitude and lack of customer service. I was the only person in the shop and she treated me like she had better things to do and I was wasting her time. If you do not know exactly what you want, in a verbiage she can understand, don't bother. You will be wasting your time and she will be extremely snotty to you.

Persona is one of our Gainesville treasures. If you like big box stores and mall shopping, then Persona is not for you. Persona is an eclectic collection of hand-picked vintage clothing as well as unique one-of-a-kind hand made artistic and very hip clothing pieces. The owner and designer, a painter and educator, herself, has an eye for current fashion, including jewelry, shoes and accessories. Persona also rents costumes for Halloween, parties, etc. in the upstairs loft of the store. These are well-made, unique, costumes, and the owner, with her artistic style will "put you altogether" for your event. Persona is a "down town" experience for those who really enjoy the "art" of shopping!

It's definitely a great place for eclectic and vintage clothing. Mahjong tile rings, fedoras, and bell-bottoms may be some of the fun things you find in there. Perfect for a quick browse.
