I always wanted to go to one of these things and I finally did with my girlfriend and her two kids, it was awesome! Tons of people dressed up in costumes (which we plan on doing next year)plenty of cool stuff to see with the big jousting event at the endwas epic!
Talk about authenticity! These guys really take you back in time to another world! They get into character and really know how to make a guest feel like part of the experience! Lots of games, shows, things to see and do, and amazing food & drink! And if you're a beer lover, they make their own, so make sure and check it out!
Such a fun experience for adults and for children!
Food and drinks are pricey but where aren’t they? You’re going to get the best experience of your life here.
I do wish they have more Bathrooms and better labels on the map
When you go here, you're essentially paying to be subjected to dealing with a horde of people. Don't get me wrong, the shows and actors are generally good. If you go with young children however, forget it. The only thing included in admission is the shows. If you have young kids they're not going to sit through show after show. You're nickle and dimed everywhere. Paid $7 bucks for a cup of cidera cup! Went home and got a 6 pack for $11.99. It'd be one thing if it's a truly unique cider.
The other thing was that the majority of the shows we saw were just replicas of the year before. Certainly doesn't make the $32 adult admission price worth it.
If it's your first time goingmaybe go and check it out but expect to pay a good chunk of change. If you have more than 2 kids, be really really sure you want to go. I can tell you for certain that unless I come across a deal on admissiona really good dealI won't be heading back anytime soon.
My 5 year old son and his friend (also 5) absolutely loved it!!!! Everyone in character was awesome and friendly. It's def worth going to at least once in your life!! However my only complaint is it's SO expensive. The entrance fee is pricey which is fine that much I can handle but everything inside Esp if you want to drink and eat is crazy expensive. My husband, my son and I easily spent almost 300 dollars in a few hours. I wish they had more kids rides too ($3 a ride). But the kids absolutely loved it. It was all very fun and entertaining I must say. And nicely kept too.
LOVED IT!! 1st time here and it was great. Kids enjoyed their time people stayed in character fairly priced for games a little pricey for food will be back again
Loved how people visiting even dressed up.. bands are awesome just a chill place for family we didn't go on rides but they were all old fashioned wood rides awesome to see how kids enjoyed rides back in those days
Love Love Love. Make sure you give the Mud People a tip and they'll worship you (or the victim of your choice) for a while.
Love our Ren faire! Great shows, good food. It is like being transported back in time. The actors really get into their roles. A smashing good time. A really nice hotel across the street if you are looking to stay.
Have been going for years and always a great time. The faire evolves and changes over time, and always something new and interesting along with tried and true. The Mud Squad a perennial favorite. Great new addition this year with "Wildly Inappropriate Poetry" by Arthur Greenleaf Holmes (adults only, no really)
Have gone twice, loved every experience. Lots of affordable food and trinkets. Some of the extra stuff is pretty pricy though, weapons and armor for example.
One of the smaller Renaissance Fairs we've been too but its an ADULT VISIT. Clean facilities, hospitable, and pleasant. The fair needs more activities, shows and games though. This fair is not for children. Wine, cigars, beer everywhere. .. and all the shows are geared for adultseven the falcon show. Staff aren't as inactive and enthusiastic as at other fairs or even like it was 10 years ago as others have reviewed and it has become very commercial. A Renaissance Fair should be an indulgence into fantasy and fun . this fair is timid and shallow by comparison. It's a fun way to spend a nice fall day for adults looking for something spontaneous and silly to escape to .but the kids will be very bored.
