My husband and Son went here today for his drivers permit test and had the best experience. The line on a Saturday at 830 was long but fast. The people there were very friendly and informative. The young ladies working were exceedingly helpful. We live in Beaver County and our Dmv has some of the rudest, unfriendly ,and slow reps so it is worth a 45 minute drive for a totally different experience. We will be back for sure. Thank you!!
The staff that helped me had no idea what they were talking about. They told me they couldnt issue me a PA DL (transfer from out of state) with my new married name because my MIDDLE name was different on my passport (even though mortgage statement and SSN card had the correct name). They told me to go to my borough for a Voter ID card.
Boroughs do not handle voter registration or ID card issuance; that is done by the county. So, having turned me away empty-handed even though all of my documentation was correct and complete, I went on a wild goose chase on bad information from PennDOT. Idiots.
It's awful but is it shocking that a government run facility lacks efficiency? Nope! What should have taken minutes to get done, renewing my drivers license, ended up taking hours. Great job guys(not)
I just have one question: why the heck are there so many one-star reviews? Maybe I got all the good employees, maybe it's because I got lucky, who knows. Everybody said the staff doesn't know what they're doing and they're all impatient morons, but when I went to get my out of state license they made it quick, easy, and painless. So what is all of this fuss about?
Not an exaggeration I was there to take my renewal photo. I had my camera card and as I went in to digital kiosk, I answered the few questions, and it spit out a # in line ticket & it said you have a 3 minute wait. I was in and out in less than 12 min. It was a Wednesday afternoon approx 2:30. I hope this helps! VERY NICE & HELPFUL STAFF.
Literally the rudest driving instructor ever. I was trying to be friendly and asked him how his day was and he just grunted at me. When we were parked I just went to move the edge of my lanyard away from the center of the car and he snapped at me "not to touch anything". And I ruled down the window so I could hear him when he was checking the lights and everything, so when he got in I asked if he wanted it up or down, it's kind of chilly. And he told me not to worry about his window, which isn't rude in itself but the way he said it was. And he didn't even check all of the things they're supposed to. He was the most miserable man I have ever met.
This was a great place. I was in and it just like that.. Just kidding, I've had to wait for three hours involving misinformation. This place sucks
There's a guy in Bridgeville who likes his petty power. Won't let certain women pass. I'm telling you, I'm not exaggerating, just ask around. If that guy isn't the kind of guy you see marching in certain rallies, I don't know what he does with his vacation time. I'd go into the details but they are too many. Just know when you stand up to him he starts to wink--or twitch, I have no idea. Justice is slow with this genius.
Took a test here and it was pretty nice. The place was really busy like other DoTs in the state but the agents were nice.
Best experience I have ever had at a DMV. All employees I dealt with there were kind and helpful. Very organized office as well.
First time I went was a bad experience, but this time around was much more enjoyable. Had a nice lady instruct my road test who seemed to be the only person at the DMV in a good mood.
I kindly greeted another guy there, but he had the nerve to just suck his teeth and walk away. Glad he wasn't the one to instruct the test.
I had to go to this office for 4 times. My experience is hilarious however every time they sent me back, there was a genuine reason. My third visit and fourth gave me a real good opinion about this center. My name was very big and the gentleman in counter 9 really spent efforts to make sure my permit was through. One thing I noticed was that the individuals don't make decision when it is negative especially-they verify with peer and the supervisor before they say anything. I took the on-road test within 3 days, the lady was quite cool , suggestive and she did give her constructive feedback on my drive- I passed the test though I made one mistake. Keep the good one going Penn DOT.
Truthfully I was with my boyfriend to get his license finally at 42 but our experience was the complete opposite of the other reviews. Everywhere u go there will be racist people in the bunch and they must have encountered those two because by the time my boyfriend was done w his test, he knew the examiners whole life including the fact he was raising his half black grandbaby and I had made a new friend in the man telling people where to sign innow it is true wherever we go we definitely find people overly kind but at times people give u what u give themnow out the South Hills location I had a terrible experience which could have been race motivated, but I'm the type of person that assumes ur either miserable or having a bad day before race, because I know some really great non-black peoplebe well
I went to this DMV branch twice the last 3 months and I had great experience each time. Most of the employees there are friendly and nice. I had a driving test also and they weren't picky about little mistakes.
